Vaughn just does it for fun and 90% of them are released. My buddy keeps one once in a while and uses a flashlight to inspect the fish and fillets before cooking. Not for me though... I'll just keep putting them back.

Be sure to review the upcoming requirement for having a descender device on board and ready to deploy when bottomfishing in Puget Sound even in the very unlikely event of hooking a rockfish when targeting flatfish such as sole or flounder.

of water.

I know - but the "one size fits all no matter how improbable the need" is a recipe for folks overlooking the requirement and being cited.
