Exeter University is forced to apologise after sending email with a quote from Nazi general Erwin Rommel to motivate staff and students:

"One cannot permit unique opportunities to slip by for the sake of trifles." - Rommel

Oooops.



They should have changed that too:

"One cannot permit unique quoting opportunities to slip by for the sake of upsetting a few snowflakes."

I heard this on the 1090 local sports radio and it made me think of the DS:

The two best lines I have ever heard came from kids.
One was at a church car wash at a local gas stations. One of the 12 year old kids walked up to really good looking 20-22 years old who was pumping gas. Took a good look at her, looked at her car, then said, "yo baby... Shouldn't your car look at good as you do. Bring it on over and I will make sure it does. "

The other comes from my mildly autistic son. He, too, was around 12 years old and at that time had a hard time verbalizing some things. He was rambling on something about sun tan lotion girl, but really wasn't making sense. I final got the idea that it was someone he was seeing on TV. I asked him, so, is this Sun tan location girl on TV really good looking. He looked at me and said. "Oh ya,....dad, she just makes me want to jump right into that TV." It was one of those moments that I could really relate to but had never put into words.

Would love to here some of the best lines or pick up lines some of you guys have ever heard.

No real "lines", but years ago I was shopping at a QFC and one of the checkout cashiers was attractive. While waiting in line, I saw that the store provided a sheet of paper and pen asking if there was anything you wanted but couldn't find in the store. I put down that I wanted her phone number and handed it to her when she started checking my groceries. She wrote her number down, we dated for a while.
Also picked up a gal once at HER bachelorette party at Shenanigan's in Spokane. Went to my hotel room, messed around a little, but didn't cross any lines. Don't remember what I said that made her go to my room. She was hot too.

Never used korny lines, just ignore them at first, then let them come to you.
