Hopefully you don't have any plans to fish the Columbia below Bonneville on Saturday, the planned last day...as it will close tomorrow at the end of the day, one day early.

We'll find out next month after the run updates are made if there will be any more days in May.

Fish on...

Is it because it's turning into a wild gene bank system?

They are holding a buffer in place to see if the run tracks as projected. I believe the big if is the lack of Chief Joseph Hatchery returns sampled.

Guide boats were concentrated below Davis Bar this week. looking to catch Willamette bound fishes?

I am all in favor of more terminal fisheries, self sorted.

Looks like we still have 200 or so fish until we hit the buffer guideline.

I believe this puts us in a good position for the steelhead opener in May. beer

Yeah, They can all go pound sand. They took Saturday away from us, which forced me to burn a vacation day to hit it on Friday.............Than jacked the water up 5' to take the fish off the bite............not to mention the strong east wind..............BS. We got two on our first pass Friday morning before the water got jacked up............after that we grinded it out for 12 hours looking for casper which never appeared..........Boooo. Good luck,

The water was already up due to the warmer weather. I'm guessing 2.5-3.0 ft with the lower snow melt on the benches.
