So cool seeing water explode with feeding fish on the surface. Love it when you see Coho doing that. Was on the look out for that this year in my neighborhood. No show.

Very exciting!
I have seen rockfish out at Neah Bay do it briefly once. Was a hoot while it lasted.

The best bait ball blitzes I've seen were off the coast of Santa Barbara whe I lived down there...schools of sardines the size of football fields, with schools of barracuda roughly the same size tearing through them...not hard to catch a 'cuda every cast!

I have seen some in Central America that were a half mile across. Millions of Sardinas, hundreds of porpoise and thousand sea birds and most importantly,thousands of big tuna. Its a real spectacle.

I have seen some jumbo bait balls similar to what Dave describes, off of Cabo San Lucas. Will never forget that sight.
