#6 - Your gun will stay with you even if you run out of ammo...
#5 - A gun doesn't take up a lot of closet space...
#4 - A gun functions normally every day of the month...
#3 - A gun doesn't ask, "Do these grips make me look fat?"...

Can I run a couple of rounds though that fine piece of artillary you are always toting around?
I always thought she was toting him around?

Never put a "gun" away wet.
Amen, bro!
Check out my new mistress.
Any time you and Sol want to come over and tag team her, be my guest! Just don't slap her around and get her all dinged up.
I've worked on her throat for you guys too! She doesn't choke like a newby.

Parker, that's one you'll definitely want to handle from the side or behind.

Dang Parker, you are a diversified mo-fo........is your neighborhood getting tough or something? Or you just getting ready for the boy to show up to take your daughter to the prom?
Naw. The Wedgwood "hood" is pretty tame. It's the next "Ballard" of Seattle. People drive down the streets with their seatbelts hanging out the door, the turn signals stuck in the on position and rarely top 7 MPH in the streets. I think the average age of the residents in Wedgwood is 93 years. The only real outlaw we have in Wedgwood is that TJCarrol guy. He's out of control!
I can't wait to use this line on Katie's first (and only) boyfriend in a few years down the road:
"I own a .45 and a shovel. I *DOUBT* anyone will miss you."
I'm arming up for the upcoming zombie infestation.
I hate zombies. Almost as much as midgets.
Driftin - That's my NEXT rifle.
PS. Didn't someone yesterday accuse me of "not being prepared"?

OK I'll take the outlaw tag, but I was in bed early on New Years Eve for a reason.
A bit after midnight there was rifle shots right up the street, what the hell !!!.
Wedgwood is safe for sure, but Viewridge was the wild west for a moment.

I'll one up ya, Parker. When my daughter's first boyfriend introduces himself I'm going to tell him that names are for tombstones and then show him the already dug grave in the backyard.

Addicted, Great top 10 list. Well done !!
Parker,
That's a mighty fine piece of hardware ya got there Parker. You've outfitted her nicely. I like it. Short & sporty is what I like about those things. They weigh almost nothing, even loaded.
I'm a traditionalist by heart and favor the warmth of real Walnut.
.308 caliber fun !! The magazines are the size of a small suitcase.
Springfield Armory M-1A. When you
really want to reach out and touch someone.
(I'm not sure who the ugly bastard is that's holding it tho)
Although there may or may not be an M-4 in my possession.

Re: women/guns - 01/03/08 09:08 PM
We should arrange a Piscatorial trip to the range next spring when it warms up. Nothing fancy, just a few of us to meet and share some quality trigger time.
Either a rifle/pistol range somewhere or a good spot in the hills where we have a good backstop.
Yeah, I looked at getting an M1A.
Crikey! They *start* at about $1500 and only go up from there! I'd love to own one, though.
Ooof.
Snoqualamie Valley Gun Range. I know the VP.
I kick myself every single day for trading away my HK91. Best shooting (open sights) rifle I ever owned.

Re: women/guns - 01/03/08 09:53 PM
Spendy yes,
That one was over $ 1650 out the door with two 20 rnd mags and that was 11 years ago.
It was a tax refund bonus.

Re: women/guns - 01/03/08 09:55 PM
We could set a "ballpark" time frame during the spring and then adjust as needed as the weather warms up.
It would be fun sometime to head to the hills with the high capacity stuff and blow a bunch of stuff up. There's nothing more fun than emptying a 30 round magazine as fast as you can pull the trigger.
Years ago in eastern Washington we used to go find old dead scrub oak trees and see how long it took to cut one down with lead with about 5 or 6 of us shooting at it... Fun times !!
( of course we would pick up all the litter we created and leave the area better than it was before we got there)

Re: women/guns - 01/07/08 10:42 AM
the only thing missing from this thread now is booze and fishing...
$250 bottle of scotch should cover that.
Haven't been fishing for ever, so no help there.

Re: women/guns - 01/07/08 11:52 AM
Parker, If that bottle of Scotch is in your liqueur cabinet....You are a true gentleman.
My late fathers preference has always been for fine Scotch Whiskey. Had been his whole life. I think he said he developed a taste for it at an early age during those bitter cold nights on the 1950's battlefield of Korea in winter.
I have a complete set of "45 year old" glass tumblers that used to belong to my father. They have all of the top names in fine Scotch Whiskey imprinted on the sides of the glasses. I will get a pic on here later. Its an impressive set.

Why is it still full? That thing would have the life expectancy of a nude photo on the mainboard in my house.
That bottle went to a buddy for his BDay present. I don't currently have it in my possession.

Re: women/guns - 01/07/08 12:26 PM
How come when I come over you only bust out the cheep shi%?
My bar is weak and insignificant. I only have the cheap stuff.
You need to see the scotch collection / bar/ of my buddy. He has well over 100 bottles of unique scotch, taking up 3 of those IKEA cabinets. Plus, add to that all the "regular" items one should have in a well stocked bar.
Oddly, he drinks way more beer than the hard stuff.
Don't introduce your friend to Sol!!

Re: women/guns - 01/07/08 02:45 PM
I'll help Parker cover the booze part too. Here is toasting with Crown Royal Private Reserve.
Here is what I did best on Saturday while watching football....two fisting Patron Silver in one hand, Vodka/water in the other hand, and a delicious Guiness for enjoyment ready on the floor.
This is my buddy Verlane with his shot of Patron Silver and the official Bud Light girl of Whidbey Island.
Mid-day enjoyment of Snowplow Ale, hmmm...yummy.
On the banks of the Snoqualmie
And after the day and evening of two fisting, later that night at a friends house, listening and watching AC/DC on his big screen blue ray, of course with the enjoying some more snowplow ale and Longboard Ale, while the chicks red cup'd it with Vodka and who knows what.
I'm always good for a butt shot

The dude shi%s gold bars. Hatchery fish turn into natives after being hooked, one dollar bills turn into 100s, and hot strange women walk across a room just to expose themselves for his pleasure. He's a gold plated wingman.

Re: women/guns - 01/07/08 06:43 PM
Had to make some changes at Chez Parker.
Didn't make sense to put a Harris Bipod on an M4 "shorty". Especially one with a combat dot scope which is really only good at short range.
With the addition of a new baby, things had to change!
Here's a my new Long Range Zombie Gun. She'll be sighted in at 200 yards.
20" HBAR. A2 stock. 3x12 illuminated scope (red, green, and black sights). Riser and scope mounts. Harris BiPod. She's heavy. She'll be a good shooter.
I'll post another photo of "Shorty" once some more parts come in. Shorty isn't ready yet.

I am new to the board, so maybe this has been covered before, but if you are shooting steelhead at 200 yards, aren't you fishing somone else's drift?

DUDE, are you gearing up to go Columbine at the UW or what?
Naw. Just traded off some guns and acquired some new ones. They are just plinking guns.
Posted by: hohbomb73
Re: women/guns - 01/10/08 01:21 PM
Yeah Right!
"Plinking" at zombies, maybe...
Depending on which movies you watch/believe, zombies are either really darn slow or super fast and aggressive.
I'd better arm up and be prepared for both!
What I really need are some fully auto lower receivers and a grenade launcher. You know, just to be "prepared".

Re: women/guns - 01/10/08 02:15 PM
When you find a good source, let me know... I have a little side project I've been working on...
I think the meth zombies are the fast ones...
Just had to put an update to this thread. Got both rifles in order now.
Tactical and long range shooters.
Bring on the zombies!
Parker what caliber are those in? .223 or .308?

Mike,
Are you getting a new manfacture Garand or a surplus rifle? For years I have wanted to order one from the CMP.
