I'm actually really happy, but conflicted. Either team wins and I'll be happy. I'm probably 70 - 30% in favor of the Broncos, so I wouldn't be upset at all if the Hawks win. Its a win-win for me....

Do you have any Denver Jersey Nick? We could have a little Seahawks-Broncos duel on the river next week
Well, it's gonna be fun...as all true Seahawks fans, I hate theBroncos. That being said, Peyton Manning is one of ny favorites, always has been.
Peyton's game is outsmarting defenses, finding a hole and sending a receiver right into it. He throws to a lot of wide open receivers because he is really good at finding those holes.
Our defense does not look to outsmart the other team...we don't play their game. We defend them straight up and make them beat us to get open...and so far no team has been able to do that to us.
Peyton does not throw a pretty ball, he never really has been that guy...but he doesn't have to if he is throwing at guys who are wide open.
If we play our game well then the Broncos will be in trouble...there's not much to "outsmart"...you don't outsmart blanket coverage on all your receivers...and unlike Kaepernick Peyton won't pull it down and burn us for fifty yards if we are too busy covering receivers to keep an eye on him.
I would sure like to see our O line protect Wilson better, but the Broncos front seven isn't anywhere near as good as the Niners.
Here's about all the "smack talk" that's required: no matter who won the NFC was going to tee off on the Broncos in two weeks...the Niners are much better than the Broncos at matching up with us, and we should handle the Broncos much better than we did the Niners today.
HO-LEE CHIT! Really Todd? Uggg...I'm too tired and buzzed to tackle that mountain of dog crap right now. I'll re-read it tomorrow from work and then serve proper. Yeah - this is gonna be fun....
I bet we will be favored on the opening line...might only be a point or point and a half, but I will be very surprised to see it otherwise. Also won't be surprised to see the line more like two or three points by kickoff.
Fukin donkeys hated them in the AFC with that horses tooth jackass quarterback. The press will give manning the royal treatment the next two weeks . Fox will get his share as Pete gets ignored for what he has built on 4 years. 75% of the country will be pulling for the jackasses so get ready for the flags to fly as they protect mannings legacy by giving his recievers an advantage.
Recall the teams met in the preseason and the Seahawks had a big edge, winning 40-10. The Seahawks jumped out to a 17-7 first-quarter lead. Manning then started moving the ball through the air. He was 11-for-16 for 163 yards and was gaining momentum.
But the Seahawks' offense tore up the Broncos' defense. Manning came out of the game in the second quarter, trailing 27-7. When Brock Osweiler entered, the game turned into a blowout. He couldn't do anything against Seattle's D.
Granted it was preseason....but I suspect a repeat performance
Peyton manning has not played against a top 5 defense this entire year.
Welcome to the NFC Peyton. Having one of the easiest schedules in the NFL 2 years in a row isnt always a good thing.
Baltimore - 12th ranked defense New York Giants - 8th ranked defense Oakland - 22nd ranked defense Philadelphia - 29th ranked defense Dallas - 32nd ranked defense Jacksonville - 27th ranked defense (tied for 27th) Indy - 20th ranked defense (loss) Washington - 18th ranked defense San Diego - 23rd ranked defense Kansas City - 24th ranked defense New England - 26th ranked defense (loss) Kansas City - 24th ranked defense Tennessee - 14th ranked defense San Diego - 23rd ranked defense Houston - 7th ranked defense (these guys were on full tilt mode by this time of the year) Oakland - 22nd ranked defense
Before ya'll get too lathered up, remember that this is the single greatest offense of all-time (probably.....at least stats wise). Be confident, but use caution when approaching that. Also, the Denver D is top ten against the run and shut down the Pats bread and butter run game. The Donks are not as good as the Niners on D, but the Hawks will be hard pressed to outscore Peyton.
It should be one for the ages actually. The top O against the top D. That doesn't happen very often. I think like 5 times in history? If it makes you ladies feel any better about your large and aching vaginas, the top D won 4 of those 5 games. Sleep well bitches.
This is the 19th time that a regular-season scoring champ has reached the Super Bowl. The previous 18 teams were 10-8 in the title game
This is the 16th time that the defense that allowed the fewest points in the NFL has made the Super Bowl since the merger. The previous 15 teams went 12-3 in those Super Bowls.
You guys are reading the spreads backwards ... the opening was all over (some did have hawks -1.5), but the best guys seemed like they opened with Broncos as 2 point favorites
BRONCOS are favored by 2--pushing maybe to even 3.
I think this is a good bet! I might have to find me some friends in Vegas to make a little wager for me!
The Hawks are gonna need a bigger knife. We be Clydesdales in CO yo! Giddy up….
FYI - I already hate this game. I thought having my two teams in it would be cool, but I would much prefer to hate someone like the Niners. So much easier and cleaner that way. [Bleeeeep!] you Niners!
But - I'm still like 70 / 30 or at best 65 / 35 Broncos...so bring it bizzsnatches.
PS - any hate should be old school AFC hate. That I can respect, cuz I get it. New school, Peyton hate is pretty lame. Different conferences, different times amigos.
It is sort of unfortunate that Seattle and the Broncos played earlier this year in the pre-season. The game was over in app. 1 ½ quarters with the score(27-7) &(33-7) at half time with Seattle eventually winning big by a score of 40-10.
That gave Denver a real sense of firsthand information on the magnitude of playing against Seattle defense was all about.
Russell didn’t have a problem with Denver’s defense throwing for 2 TD’s and Seattle moving the ball pretty much at will before Russell being replaced.
Moving forward to the Super Bowl, I still believe that Denver is going to have a rough time scoring. Manning appears to have success throwing into zone coverage v. man to man and if Denver gets one-dimensional because they can’t run the ball, which is a real possibility, it could get ugly for Denver real fast.
I think the game will hinge upon how quickly Peyton can adjust to what he's seeing on the field (and the answer will not be "immediately" like it is against other defenses), and how far behind the Broncos will be when that time comes...their defense will still have to stop the Seahawks from scoring (this will not be easy).
I think this game will be a lot like similar games in the past...when the "best offense" plays the "best defense", the "best defense" almost always wins, especially when the "best defense" is backed up by a pretty good offense, and the "best offense" is not backed up by a very good defense, especially with Von Miller being gone.
I really, really like Peyton Manning, and I always have, and I don't think that his legacy is in any trouble at all, but I doubt this Super Bowl will be another feather in his cap.
I watched that game and NEVER forgot that hit on Hardin. That was one of the greatest vindications I have ever seen in the NFL and Largent was my hero for a long time following.
Not since the '85 bears has a D..... Led the league in points allowed, total yards allowed and turnovers generated, until this years Hawks. Pretty sweet little stat I thought, especially considering the types of offenses out there in todays NFL.
I remember watching the Largent hit live back in Denver. Everyone in the family was in awe that he popped off like that. I must have been in Jr. High about then. Good times.
The Broncos are not f'd and neither team is going to torch the other. The Hawks secondary is going to have to account for 4 premium WR's not just Crabtree & Davis. I predict lots and lots of drive extending holding and PI calls on the Legion of Boom. IMO the Hawks are going to need get either lots of turnovers OR get up big early. Denver can put up HUGE points in a blink of an eye. Get down a couple of scores to Peyton & Co. and its pretty much over as the Hawks don't have the offensive horses to hang.
Anyway - have fun tearing the above apart for the next few days. I'm going fishing til' Sunday - so adios amigos.
Anyway - have fun tearing the above apart for the next few days. I'm going fishing til' Sunday - so adios amigos.
What makes you think you won't get to hear about how the Hawks are going to tear up the Broncos over the next four days?
I think that the refs are going to play a big role in this game, by either letting them play (like every other playoff game this year, for every team), or by calling ticky tack fouls on anyone covering a receiver that Peyton Manning is throwing at (not an altogether unlikely scenario).
I can see the L.O.B putting some pain full hits on the donkos early in the game. putting a pain full message early is key in getting the receivers scared. i'm certain the L.O.B. will represent very well, manning may find it tough to find receivers when they are all in the locker room getting Xrayed.
Manning is all about timing. When Manning gets beat it is when his timing is off. We have the secondary to jam those guys and upset that timing. We do that we win.
We can handle thomas and thomas as matchups on most plays.......it is little welker that could be trouble. He was tough to beat last time as he matched up with Walter. If Walter can handle Welker this time we will have Peyton running for his life. When he has to do that he throws picks and falls apart. Watched it over and over and over in playoff games with him.

If Welker gets within about 5' of Kam Chancellor,Welker will go out with his 53rd concussion.
Denver is ranked 29th in pass defense I bet Seattle passes the ball to set up the Beastmode pounding! Denver is ranked 8th in run defense. Percy should be fresh and ready to do some damage.
It will sure be nice not to have a spy on Manning running the ball.
Todd, I agree. That was a great press conference today.
Just an FYI if you want to hear Sherman talk some [Bleeeeep!] during the game. Looks like the mic'd players and coaches from this weekends championship games will be playing on the NFL network at 9:00 tonight. The show is called Sound FX. The show immediately after it sounds pretty good as well. The best 100 players and coaches wired for sound from the 2013 season. Here is the schedule. All times listed are eastern. Enjoy SF http://www.nfl.com/nflnetwork/networkschedule
The only football thread that was locked...was one which was replaced with less SanFranwhiner BS and one more relevant going forward. Frankly speaking...sometimes to have the kick the soap box out from underneath the whiner... In addition..that thread was done...that story is over this year. A new story lies ahead for Seahawk fans.
The more I read and hear about this, the more I like Sherman.
Better hope the ref's agree with you. Sherm has to go all in.....and cleanly....or he is likely going to be the undoing of the Smoke a Bowl with a SeaHawk game.
Looking ahead..the more I visualize this game..the more I see the Seahawks dominating the Broncos. I see Peyton starting off hot to good..and waning fast.. Seattle's O is steady with some big plays and takes the lead..and the D suffocates Denver the rest of the game.

Good point Slab. Drawing attention, can surely be a double edged sword.

Manning plays awful in cold weather too, and Von Miller is out for for season...that's like Houston not having JJ Watt playing. Defense wins Championships 12's !!!!!! This will be the first of several in the next 2-7 years.

1. Can Seattle move Peyton off of his spot ? The NE game showed what happens if you can't. Even a great pass defense cannot hold up when this guy is protected.
2. Can Seattle play possession football getting Lynch and the short passing game going ? Keeping Peyton on the pine will be a good thing.
I think those two elements decide the game, with item 1 being the most important.
Super Bowls rarely play out as expected. On paper, this is a very intriguing, tight matchup. If it goes per usual, however, only one team will show true to form. It's hard to imagine leaders like Wilson and Manning allowing that to happen, but this game has a way of bringing out the best and worst things we've never seen from either team.
If that doesn't happen, and both teams do what they've done all year, the biggest factor, in my opinion, will be the Seahawks pass rush (or lack thereof). If you give Manning time to process what's going on after the snap (takes 3 or 4 seconds, tops), you're going to get hurt somewhere. If the LOB can cover well enough to take away the first couple reads on most plays, that should give the pass rush time to get to him and keep him off rhythm. If he's getting 5 seconds in the pocket more often than not, he'll be tough to beat. He's just SO good at exploiting the weak spot in a defense.
Even if Manning has a lot of success, the Hawks SHOULD be able to make enough plays on offense to keep pace, especially if Harvin plays a significant number of downs. His presence causes problems for defenses, even when the play doesn't involve him. He's too dangerous to ignore, and that opens things up for everyone else. We've also kind of forgotten about Russell Wilson over the past few weeks. The conservative play-calling has been designed to prevent making costly mistakes against defenses that likely wouldn't allow multi-score comebacks. I don't think the Broncos have that caliber of defense, and it seems to me they would do well to be on alert for a heavier dose of zone read plays and play action passes than we've seen so far in the playoffs. After the linebackers are thoroughly confused and out of sorts, unleash The Beast!
I sure hope this isn't one of those Super Bowls where one team forgets to show up (unless, of course, that team is Denver).
Keep your political commentary off the football thread you fuckin' donkey.
So now you want to be the boss-o-me, sorry I missed your coronation Princess, but now that you believe that you are the Queen O-the-board I may have to pay you a little respect...., or not.
When Wilson starts wearing a glove or gloves, he just might be more reliable....can't believe he thinks his fingers grab tighter without.
and as far as Parker? WGAF? Keep YOUR crap off this thread, Puker.
He might be more reliable? Dood, you know how many records he's set his first two years playing QB in the NFL? Like more wins than any other QB in the history of the NFL.

in think having wilson's nuts in your mouth has "clouded" your vision...
yes he is a very agile quarterback that has made many great plays. he has also scrambled his way to some really nice wins... but you cannot attribute all of those wins to him... many of them belong to the LOB!
"If you don't like Seattle, then you're an old fart. This is the Buddy Ryan Eagles/'85 Bears reincarnated in an age that style of football has no business dominating in. They beat their chests like pro wrestlers, they fill the bulletin board on weekly basis and they beat the living bejeezus out of their opponents on sundays.
If you don't like the Seahawks, go play fantasy football...with your wife. "

Fine.
Talk politics on the football thread, you drippy old c.unt.
slabby is giving Wilson football advice? lol
And who the fu.ck is slabby to give an NFL qb advice on how to handle a football?

Was just having that same conversation at work today. My point was who knew that the 2000 NYG, specifically Tiki Barber and Ron Dayne, would be so completely shut down. Meanwhile, statically poor Trent Dilfer was at best mediocre in the Raven's rout, but relied on their own version of "beast mode" Jamal Lewis. The Giant's running game that year was similarly devastating (not record setting) to opponents that year as Denver's passing is this year. That all changed in the game that was for the big marble.
Fanatics aside, I'm feeling better about playing Denver in the cold at a neutral site than the (week leading up to) healthy, hot, and motivated 9ers that the hawks played last week. Especially liking the special teams advantage the hawks have over the donks. The super bowl was quite possibly last week.
Peyton is going to be spending way too much time on his back ....like a bitch. I like this match up . I see this getting out of hand real soon.....Go Hawks Danny boy how do you really feel......some funny shiit.......Os
There could be trouble brewin' for the Hawks in the SB. It appears those Shetland Donkeys have "48 Reasons the Denver Broncos will win Super Bowl 48"..
Worse still is this guy will more than likely be bringin' good juju to the game..
Honky do you think his numbers would be lower in the NFC ? I know he is good but he is very beatable. For years it was old horse teeth Elway now it's the Forehead why all the funky facial features in Denver. Denver btw is a shiit hole a giant Spokane I go there about 10 times a year.
Better defense. I doubt he would have put up the numbers he did this year if he were in the NFC. It's relevant because he is playing the best defense in the NFC and this thread is dedicated to speculation about how it will go. How's that honker?
Funny story a friend was drafted by the broncos in 82 . He had to have a custom helmet built for camp because his head was so big. He ended up getting busted for weed in the pre season and decided he liked being a farmer so he left the NFL. Wonder if foreheads helmet is bigger?

And I'm looking forward to celebrating the NFC humiliating the AFC in the Super Bowl with you. Truth is, had Krappy and the 9'ers beaten the Hawks last weekend, I'd have pulled to them to beat Manning and his group of donkeys in Jersey.
PS- I think Russ did the exact right number of ads this season.
I'm a-hopin', but I don't find the whole thing near as rosy as the local locos. Bronco's by a mile is my guess. Sherman's infamous outburst may be the downfall. We'll see. Russ might even fumble the ball away without those pretty green gloves. Like I said......we'll see.
The donkeys have not faced a defense like this.......ever. Elies big brother is all about timing. His will be off . Btw I would never root for the ball lickin niners....nofuckinway!!!!.....ever. They were a class organization, a long time ago, that all changed when they decided to hire that Ass Clown Harbaugh. Good to be back on the darkside Go Hawks..........Os

Classy guy.
Here, have a little golf clap for that..
ahhh shucks you shouldn't have Hankie thanks
No NFC loyalty here There's about as much chance me rootin for the Ducks Its not personal.....it's just sports........Os p.s. did I spell assclown wrong?
Time of possession is going to be critical...if we can keep it close, that means our defense is getting a rest, and were in full time BEASTMODE....I predict Lynch will have over 120ish yards rushing and gets MVP. I really think Lynch is going to carry us on his shoulders.
Hopefully the pass rush cancels out any deep threats and the safeties/linebackers blow up the short pass attempts.
Welker should plan on the Wrath of Kam crashing down on him.
Kam has been unreal, that last game against SF was the best I've seen him play. Specially when he ran down krapp after first getting cut blocked to the ground and getting back up and saving that TD. I'm glad we locked him up for awhile.
“Kam Chancellor right now is as good as any safety that’s played in the game of football,” Lott said. “It’s hard for me to say this, but there was only one guy that I know that’s better and that’s Kenny Easley.
Those donkey crossing patterns are gonna meet 31# its not gonna be pretty. Welker tries tries any of that cheap shiit ...he will finish the game on the sideline with concussion #29. Go Hawks......Os
There's a whole lotta love for the Hawks over on the Donks site..
I live in WA. I have followed the She-Hawks all year.
Sherman is a gang banging thug who got caught. He is a disgrace to the state as is Pete Carol. A cheating thug IS the face of the Bitch Pigeons. Wear it proud. You’ll soon be crying again about the refs as you did When Rothlisberger treated you like an underage girl in a public toilet. A classless team for Classless fans in a classless city. Too bad. Russel Wilson is a stand up guy. Mediocre QB but a stand up guy. He should be the face of your franchise. Unfortunately your team should be wearing Adderal patches on their sleeves like a NASCAR sponsor.
Only BRONCO Football matters.
I'd like to see that keyboard punk bitch driven into the frozen turf by #91
“With fans all over the world rejoicing over the Broncos trip to Super Bowl XLVII,”
I didn’t get past the first sentence.
These retarded bronco fans don’t even know what super bowl they are in. These clueless cowpokes must be dazed and confused. Cowboy hats, handkerchiefs, big belt buckles and pointy toe chitkickers –what a bunch of rodeo clowns.
These morons are probably traveling west to get to New Jersey.

You obviously don't have a clue about Sherman. You should look into his life story, then see if your dimwitted comments ring true. As far as the Seahawks being a classless team, you continue to prove your stupidity... Why don't you do us all a favor and go back to wherever you came from. Douche bag.

How was I supposed to figure it wasn't you? You didn't quote anybody else. Your previous sentence mentioning another board is not quoting it.
They are a sharp bunch over there at Bronco Nation. Just a little sample from one of my favorite posts:
"I'm a lifelong Broncos fan who suffered through the first four Super Bowls, relishing the last two. I miss Broncos not being in AFC West. I have the usual Broncos stickers on my cars and wear my gear out in public.
That's awesome for Marshawn and its about damn time. What's Mars and his agent been doing all this time?
All I can say about Rob Ford is that even crack heads can see who's gonna win. Its THAT obvious to everyone in the free world except for the PNW homers.
Hey Sol Duc - I saw Mr. Goodell shaking Mr. Bowlen's hand yesterday and getting along like best buddies. You are F'd, but no excuses ok!
One other item of serious note is that there are ZERO players on the Seahawks squad with any Super Bowl Experience while the Donks have 4-5 including Peyton. It may or may not be a big deal, but from what I hear it can be calming in the locker room to have a veteran that's been there and done that. Petey is gonna have to be that guy who calms everyone down and he's good at it. It's easy to get way too amped and overplay the first quarter before settling in and you don't want to spot the Donks a couple of scores.
KK / BU - you are just mad & sad I didn't visit you in the middle of the night like you begged me. I know you've seen the pic Stam posted of me, so I just felt you weren't ready to be that well "groomed" yet. One serving of meat in a night is enough for you for now. Keep working on those next size up diameter plugs I left with you and with some practice you might be ready to dance next time I'm out your way.
"We expect Seahawks fans to more than double the number of Broncos fans at the game," says Gregoire. "Based on traffic to SeatGeek's Super Bowl pages, we've seen about 18 percent of all shoppers originate from the state of Washington. That's twice as much as from Colorado. I think we're going to see a much more Seahawks friendly crowd than we did in 2006."
One other item of serious note is that there are ZERO players on the Seahawks squad with any Super Bowl Experience while the Donks have 4-5 including Peyton.
What are you talking about? Seattle WR Ricardo Lockette was at the super bowl last year w/ SF.
Colin Kaepernick watches Ricardo Lockette do an impression of him at Super Bowl media day (Mark Humphrey/AP).
Check that same view one of the other 287 days a year when the smog is so thick you wouldn't be seeing the bushes in the foreground, much less the mountains in the background.
I think if I had to choose a city other than Seattle I'd take San Francisco next, I've enjoyed every visit I've ever taken there...then Portland, because it's a big city and it's on the coast.
If I had to live inland it would be Chicago...but being on the lake there is a lot like living on Puget Sound.
If it were a mountain state I'd take Bozeman, hands down.
P.S. I feel the same way about Salt Lake City...a beautiful city in a beautiful setting, except for most the time when you can't even see the mountains.
Denver can be dry and a bit dirty due to the loose soil. PNW's don't like the lack of green and trees, so its a change for certain. Denver has done a much better job cleaning up the "Brown Cloud" inversion zone over the past decade (minimal wood stove burning now). It can still happen on really stagnant winter days...but maybe just a couple of times a year. Other than those days around Denver, CO has the BEST weather in the USA. Perfect weather actually...
Anyway....go Donks! I gotta get back to work before I get fired.
All of my scheduled meetings today were canceled so I was able to sit at my desk and get some actual work done. So I spent most of the day listening to Denver sports radio. Thru out the day I jotted down some of the things I heard.......
enjoy
-Marshawn Lynch will be contained because the Bronco run defense is now great having shut down New England. -Percy Harvin will not have an impact on the game because he only has one catch on the year. -They love Russell Wilson but he’s peaked and will be contained. -The Bronco’s media sessions are on a boat while the Seahawks media sessions are a hotel ballroom. This is an unfair advantage for the Seahawks as the Denver media folks are getting seasick. -The Predictalator dude mentioned that every secondary player for the Seahawks grades above average while every Bronco secondary player grades below average. RW throws for more yards than PM. -The Stubhub dude mentioned that 30% of the aftermarket tickets are being sold to Wa. residents vs. 10% to Co. residents. -Payton Manning is not only the best quarterback in league history but the best OC in league history. -The Seahawk pass rush will not be a factor because Payton Manning is the best OC in league history and their fast pace won’t allow the Seahawk pass rushers to rotate in and out. -The Seahawks are playing much poorer in the post season squeaking thru their games while Denver is playing the best football ever seen in the history of the game. -Their local Fox affiliate dude predicted at 34-17 game because the Seahawks defense cannot stop the Bronco’s offensive passing attack. Lynch will be shut down on first down and he doesn’t trust RW to pass the ball in 2nd and longs and 3rd and longs. -They are thrilled to be playing the Seahawks instead of the 49er’s as the 49er’s offense is so much more dynamic than the Seahawks offense that the 49er’s may actually have been able to challenge the Bronco DB’s. -By the time signs of dementia are noticed ½ of human brain cells, by weight, have died. -The Seahawks 40-10 victory in the pre-season is nothing to worry about as the Bronco’s just simply took that day off. -Marshawn Lynch may very well be the most likable guy in the NFL. Fortunately, thanks to the Bronco’s stout run defense, he shouldn’t be much of a factor on Sunday -More complaining about holding press conferences on a “rocking” boat. -Shift change: One guy loves Lynch while the other guy thinks you can knock him off of his game as he is uncomfortable with his surroundings. -Bronco’s are a Sherman tank and the Seahawks are a bunch of flower waving hippie’s -Seahawks and their fans and their city are just a collage team/town/fans playing against the “Corporate” Bronco’s. That's why the Empire State Building has been lit up in Seahawk colors the last two nights
The easiest way to lose a war is to have your top General fight the previous war and not the current one. That is the feeling I get listening to Denver radio. They figure that both the Chargers and Patriots are much better than the Hawks and that they have come up with the winning formula for Sunday!
I also find it funny that all year long it was common knowledge that the NFC was the better of the two leagues but a couple of easy wins for Denver in the playoff's and all of a sudden the AFC is the better of the two leagues. I also find it funny that they are scared of San Fran but not Seattle
Just like that General who is prepared for the last war it only takes on punch to the noggin to figure out your mistake. I don't think the Denver team/coaches themselves have made this mistake but their fans sure have!
Shift Change- The new guy is really worried about Seattle's defensive tackles. A caller just called him on that stating, "Manning wont allow them to substitute." The host responded that the Seahawks will fake injuries to allow those subs
I'm surprised they didn't mention the Donks were practicing in frigid Denver last week and the Hawks won't be able to handle the cold on Super Sunday. That's a hot topic on their board right now.
Then there's this too..
That would have just brought up the whole glove or not to glove debate and a gaggle of floating wounded ducks. Don't think that is something they really want to talk about from "radio row."
That would have just brought up the whole glove or not to glove debate and a gaggle of floating wounded ducks. Don't think that is something they really want to talk about from "radio row."
They got that covered. It won't be windy on Sunday so Peyton will be firing passes like laser-guided rockets while he's shooting lightning bolts out his ass.
Champ Bailey will have a pair of pick-sixes too..
They need to ATTACK Bailey! He's played out, for reals.
It's easy to get laid all over the country when I've lived in a few of those cities, and spent a decade traveling around the country with my ex visiting many more of those cities.
As soon as the winds hit 10mph Peyton's wobbly, but accurate passes become wobbly, but Earl Thomas interceptions...spirals cut thru the wind, wounded ducks flutter like...
...wounded ducks.
Bronco fans are like Mitt Romney fans...so blinded by their belief that they will win that they ignore virtually every relevant statistic that says they will not...to their peril.
If the wind whips up and stays up I see a 10 to 14 point Seahawk victory.
If the forecast turns out to be dead wrong and the wind doesn't whip up, then it will be more like a 3-4 point Seahawk victory.
Denver fans act like Obama fans and like Obama believe their own lies . The stupid fuks believe its Mannings birthright to win. They have bought into the whole team of destiny thing the media is playing up. The painted up Seahawks fans are an embarrassment too! I have been waiting 38 years for this an my gut tells me the Seahawks blow them out. Team speed is just to much for them to handle . The Beast is focused.
The only thing that screws up my prediction is if Obama predicts the Seahawks win. Which I think he will because they come across as the blacker of the two teams and he is a racist POS and could fuk up a wet dream.
Todd went from Phoenix, Arizona all the way to Tacoma. Philadelphia, Atlanta, L.A. Northern California - where the girls are warm so he could hear his sweet baby say....
After listening to the talking heads I was surprised to learn that Denver actually lost 3 games. Also surprised to learn that Seattle won more than one.
Lol. What an idiot. He threw at Sherm twice and was intercepted once.
No offensive play calling will be made to exploit the Sherm. Krapper is forgetting the point is to win.
I'm so glad RW doesn't stoop to these levels. Krapper is showing that he doesn't see the big picture and gets caught up in the small trivial [Bleeeeep!], that is not the QBs job.
If Peyton Manning throws at Sherman two times, and he gets a holding penalty and an interception, then we will win the game. Probably by three touchdowns.
I'm also enjoying the "experts" talk about how Denver's tight end Julius Thomas is going to torch the Seahawks because he's so big, and so good.
Maybe they ought to ask Vernon Davis, who's big and good, about how well that worked out for him?
NFC Championship: 2 receptions, 16 yards
Week 14: 2 receptions, 21 yards
Week 2: 3 receptions, 20 yards
Yeah, the Hawks are going to get torched by Julius Thomas. Vernon Davis, perhaps the best TE in football right now, got 7 receptions for 57 yards, total, in three games.
Watching the "experts" do analysis on TV is like watching the news...their job is never to actually do any real analysis, it's just to hype the game.
What is funny about the quote happens to be krapperdick avoiding sherman all game. Throwing over only twice......one of those ending the game with a pick and it is sherman that is afraid. You sure exploited that there big guy.
Even funnier listening to someone talk about Shermy giving him the choke sign. What is the difference between him doing the "superman" in front of cam and shermen with the choke sign in front of him.......not much.
And lastly.......you didn't throw it a foot farther......so STFU goat and go put on your broncos hat. Just watch out for those cameras this time.
Lol. What an idiot. He threw at Sherm twice and was intercepted once.
Shermy was flagged for holding the other time..
Better holding than a TD. All corners know this.
The only QB I remember coming anything close to exploiting the Sherm was Luck and that dude can ball. He is waaaaaay better than Krapper.
Peyton doesn't have the arm strength to pull off some of the deep shots that got us in the Colts game. And Krapper never sees the deep shots on a broken play because he goes into full gazelle mode every time.
They need to beware of Kam Chancellor, who is sitting right there ready to make Kam shaped dents in the front of anyone who thinks they can dink-and-dunk over the middle all day...and then beware of KJ Wright and others who will pick off the ball when it bounces straight up in the air while Thomas and/or Welker are laying on their backs trying to remember their names.
FYI - for those that care what I think, which is none of you (my mom doesn't post here).....I will be giving a detailed breakdown on the game utilizing my superior intellect and writing prose.
A QB trash talking? Cannot recall that happening before. Not too bright even for Kap. I bet Harbaugh slaps him in the baby head. Someone said he runs like a gazelle more like a baby riding a chicken , little head and chicken legs.
Ah the Barrel Man...may he rest in peace. I grew up watching him on TV my whole life and I was fortunate enough to have met him a couple of times. One of the nicest guys around.
Don't have to worry about it. Krap will only be able to do it for so long. Eventually he will have to become pocket passer. His Achilles heal is his lack of ability to check down on routes. He Kraps his pants after one or two reads and throws an interception , runs for the border or goes down . His days are numbered .
Rico predicts two Seattle picks, one a pick-six, Beast with 124 rushing yards, and Kearse's two touchdown catches earning him the MVP. (The catches must be incredible, or Wilson would get the MVP for throwing them). Seattle wins 31-20.
"The unstoppable force meets the immovable object" was the Sports Illustrated tagline for the original "Game of the Century" 1971 #1 Nebraska vs. #2 Oklahoma. Johnny "The Jet" Rodgers returned an all-time punt for a NU win en route to the first of 2 consecutive national championships.
The Hawks better play Cover 3 with ET playing deep 3rds or Peyton WILL crush the Cover 2 (best o-line in the NFL, 3 steps, 2 sec release = clean jersey)
Here's what the legion of BOOM has to defend on pass plays (no stats - just players). I also include KnowMo because of the outside, middle screens and sneaky sneaky shovel passes (which you will see in the red zone - mark my word on that).
Everyone of these dudes can get after it and all em' have caught or run for 10 or more TDs this season.
27 Moreno, Knowshon RB 5-11 220 84 Tamme, Jacob TE 6-3 230 80 Thomas, Julius TE 6-5 250 87 Decker, Eric WR 6-3 214 11 Holliday, Trindon WR 5-5 170 88 Thomas, Demaryius WR 6-3 229 83 Welker, Wes WR 5-9 185
The Hawks are going to have to defend 4 - 5 good-to-great-to-very great receivers on many many plays all night long. One at a time, play by play - these bad ass dudes ARE going to get open.
I called this earlier in the year when I picked the HAWKS - DONKS Super Bowl and specifically said that the Hawks can't cover all of em' all of the time.
Denver is going to get their point boys. Don't kid yourself on that. This is the greatest single offense in the history of the game and it won't get shut down. If Peyton plays badly, he still gets 300+ and 3+ TDS
The difference will be the Hawks O against the Denver D. Book it.
Nick, I hope all those guys you listed are on the field at the same time cause that means the Broncos only have 3 guys on the OL blocking. If that happens Payton will need another neck surgery to attach his head.
Broncos are gonna get some yards but gonna end up kicking field goals just like they did against NE in the last game. Manning is going to throw a pick or two also.
Bottom line is this: The Broncos are a great offense but they aint seen a defense like this all year, not even close. However, at the end of the day it will be the Hawks offense that exposes the Broncos defense for the frauds they are and Hawks win 27-20.
PS: Broncos have a great offense but it ain't the greatest of all time. Might be one of the best in the last decade but that is about it. Pretty tough to compare to other teams from previous eras since defenses today don't get to play half as physical as previous defenses. Combine that with the fact that no one in the AFC played defense this year and you end up with a team that loaded up statistically on a bunch of crappy teams.
Within the echo chamber, everyone keeps saying that Denver hasn't seen a defense like this before. That is true. But the Hawks haven't even come close to playing against an offense like this. If you think the Niners or New Orleans sets the bar then you would be mistaken.
Sproles and Graham Crabtree, Davis and Boldin
That's about it guys. That's all you have defended. 3 dudes at any one time is easy peasy to cover. Now cover 4 - 5 very good ones every damn play all game long. Bring your oxygen because the fittest NFL players come from Denver (same reason the Olympic team trains in CO Springs). Now they get to go to sea level with double capacity. I'll take that. I will also take a couple of those 7+ minute drives again ala the SD and Pats games. I can't wait to start seeing hands on hips.
If the AFC doesn't play Defense then the NFC doesn't play offense. Good luck playing catch up with your O the way its built.
Welker has more play off receptions and touchdowns than any other receiver in the history of the game. Including Jerry Rice. You guys are going up against 2 all-time hall of famers that are glued together. Good luck!
DB - yeah those Fouts teams were pretty amazing for their time. The Donks #1 rival has always been the Raiders, so I know that old defense all too well. Dan used to just smoke em' before he passed the AFC torch to Elway.
Even though Denver hasn't played the Hawks with their NFL best D....they have beat some very good D's this year (KC, NE, Balt. and SD all have top 10 D's). Yes those teams don't have what the Hawks have...but that is still some very good company.
Again this game will rest on what the Hawks O can do against the Donks D. Mars will get his carries and the Hawks will score....but can they score enough? I'm not sure that they can. If they get down 2+ scores to the Donks, they will probably have to cut back on Mars and open up the passing game a bit which could get them off schedule very quickly.
T.O.P. and T.O's will be huge in this game (as always). I do predict Peyton will throw 1 INT to the LOB, but no more than that. IMO - He won't press coverage too often (because he won't have to)
Good Link, NickD90. Now we'll wait and see how much "Look at Me" Shermie impacted the Ref's view of professional conduct and whether Noobie Pocket Passer RW will slop another win together. I'm betting the SeaHawks have been given enough rope to finally hang themselves.
Yo Slab, what happened to your new years resolution to be less of a stupid [Bleeeeep!]?
You can't just wish away being a fuckin idiot.
Fish on...
Todd
You "flockers" might want to check with KK......he may have the only goat around.
The Sloppy Sea Hawks had better adjust......dramatically.....or it's gonna be a runaway train. No amount of foo foo rootin' is going to change that. If the Hawks impressed you at all in the last 5 games of the season, you are easily impressionable, which likely explains a myriad of other local problems.

I was impressed when they beat me to get into the superbowl beeyootch!
Nice try Slab but you're still a dumb [Bleeeeep!] Yo!

6 inches away from losing the game......a little more loft and we're sitting on our thumbs....and you're impressed. Did you see "easily impressionable"??

Go Get-it-together Hawks!!
I'm not surprised to hear you buy into the SF response for why they lost the game. what happenes if the ball does go another 6 inches?? ..who can say Sherman wouldnt have just jumped a little higher, or takes another step, and makes the same play?
Any way you want to look at it, SF made the wrong call to challenge Sherman with any throw, that's why they only challeneged him twice during the entire game.
Just because thats what Kap or Harbaugh said, doesn't make it true... Slabby, This concludes your free enlightenment session...you can now go back to your regular programming of accepting everything you read or hear at face value.

Try again, fool. I know what I saw....it's not about reading anything. The bottom line is the SeaHawks got lucky....again. You and the rest of the blind gurus of nothing haven't had an original thought your whole lives.....or at least you haven't revealed it ("it" is the likely number). Go ahead...anyone. Tell me how impressive the SeaHawks were in their final 5 games ......
Last five games included a halfass effort against the Cardinals...and:
A blowout shutout against the Giants.
A blowout against the Rams.
A playoff win against the Saints.
A playoff win against the 49ers.
Yeah, there are dozens of teams at home watching Super Bowl weekend from the couch feeling lucky that they're not as bad as the Seahawks.
Ferfucksakes, Slappy...we all give up, you win biggest Dumfuk on PP, again, and again, and again...you don't have to keep trying again, and again, and again.
I never agree with KK , Todd about almost anything but I am in the front seat of the slabby by is a dumfuk bus that they are driving. My god man shake yourself maybe some of the stupid will fall off.
Seen on the road to Disco Bay...in front of Slappy's house...
Slappy could shake himself all he wants...any stupid that falls off will just expose the shiny fresh stupid underneath...he's stupid not just to the bone, but to the marrow...hell, his marrow is probably stupidasfuck, too.
Here's another thing I'd like to see to get the Broncos off their game...the first pick play that Welker runs across the middle, where he commits offensive pass interference and gets away with it every time, I'd like to see Kam or KJ light his ass up, knock his chin right into the top of his helmet.
The refs have let the Broncos get away with offensive PI four or five times per game all year on that play, and if they won't stop Welker from doing it (even after he sent Talib to the locker room injured), then the Hawks should put a stop to it themselves.
I don't care what the play is...a pick play, a drag across the middle, or just a quick slot receiver go...whether they throw it to Welker or not he should get knocked right into next season.
If he survives the hit and plays the rest of the game I bet he won't be committing any more offensive PI penalties.
Denver’s pre-season schedule was against the NFC-W division—the toughest/best division from top to bottom in NFL football.
Denver went 2-2.
They beat SF 10-6 and Rams 27-26 and they lost to AZ 32-24 and Seattle 40-10.
Denver could only score 10 points each against Seattle and SF defenses. Denver’s 2 wins combined for a pathetic 5 point total.
Denver would be next to the bottom of the NFC-W division with a .500 record if in that division. Yes it was pre season games and the Donk’s have had a good year with Mannings record breaking season but Denver is going to lose—big--because of one of the toughest defenses from front to back being fielded in recent SB history.
I sure hope they do that, Hank...and if the refs are going to be eyeballing our CB's for ticky tack fouls on the outside, I hope they are looking to call Welker for PI while he's laying on his back counting stars after he commits PI and gets knocked out.

I guarantee Welker is looking to avoid a trip aboard the Kamtrack.
Pete Carroll’s Friends, Family Admit They’d Love To See Him Get Blown Out In A Super Bowl
NEW YORK—Conceding that they could not imagine anything more satisfying, sources closest to Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll admitted to reporters Thursday that they would love to see him get blown out in a Super Bowl. “Honestly, yeah, it’d be great to watch him get trounced by like 20, maybe 24 points on Sunday,” said lifelong friend Paul Tuchrello, expressing a sentiment similar to that of the rest of Carroll’s friends and family members who confirmed that they are privately hoping the coach will be absolutely humiliated in the biggest game of his nearly 40-year career. “If the Broncos wrap this thing up in the third quarter and we get to watch Pete despondently roam the sideline for another 35 or 40 minutes, I’d be thrilled. I mean, if the Seahawks got shut out that’d be incredible, but I’d settle for pretty much any scenario where he helplessly watches as his team gets dismantled in front of a hundred million people.” Those in Carroll’s inner circle added that watching the Seahawks come up one yard short as time expired would also be enjoyable.

That is only talking about Seattle one of the best defenses going to a super bowl.
Now If Bevel opens up the offense against a mediocre Denver pass defense-- Wilson is going to shred their defense and the rout is on.

I'd like to see a lot more defensive pressure by the Hawk D-lineman on Manning, the Hawk O-line protect RW better than they have (most of the season), Beast to get 100 yards plus rushing, I'd like to see RW use the option read on some end-around keepers for long rushing gains, which has been open but not utilized so far, and for the Hawks to bring back the Lombardi trophy to Seattle for the old man, who has been a stalwart fan since they came into the league.
The Hawks are an outstanding tackling team. They rarely miss a tackle. DB's wrap up and don't give them an extra yard. It's the little things that add up.

When the coing is flipped and the game starts, we'll see what is actually going to happen. There isn't an analyst out there that is going to tell us what we're going to see. We watch this crap for two weeks with the experts telling us what's going to happen and rarely do they get it right. They'll play the game, and then we'll see how it works out. Same old bs from every game of the season. Those experts are usually right about 50% of the time which is about equal to me doing the same.
With all the predictions, someone is bound to be right. I see it about the same as our WDFW predicting salmon returns. Every few years they get lucky.

I'd settle for stifling pass coverage combined with relentless pressure on their QB. Accomplish that and everything else will be easy.

Not a bad analogy! Lots of Rah Rah, but don't see much money backing the pseudo confidence, either.
So I had an inspection to do at work yesterday and the guy that was assigned to assist me name was "Richard Sherman". When I met him, I shook his hand I said "Richard Sherman?" asking in a inquisitive and questioning tone. He immediately responded "not that Richard Sherman - as you can see I'm white, bald, fat and really, really slow". He was wearing his Sherman jersey for Blue Friday. Of course later on to screw with him, I just had to ask him if they were related. Dude looked at me and went "really dude?" It was pretty hilarious. That is all...

The LOB has infiltrated the Donko fanbase. Systemic Donko destruction has begun.
You and slabby can fu.ck off. The last thing a team needs going into a big game is a bunch of "Yeah, but........." bullsh!t out of dipsh!ts like you.
The players' coaches are telling them right now what they do that isn't good enough, and they'll find a way to get the players to do what they need to do to get a win.
So take you Eeyore bullsh!t back to the 9'ers thread - oh that's right, you can't because your wonder team already got beat by the Hawks players that found a way to deal with your scrambling qb, power running back, and best LB core in the league.
Just like they're going to do tomorrow with a lights-out qb, and solid OLine, and a couple scary receivers.
I'd prefer you old cocksuckers just die and get your misery over with, rather than spreading it around so I have to step over it here on the Super Bowl thread. Isn't there a political thread you can stink up with your buzzkill old-man crap?
Actually, I try to keep 'right here next to me' a fire-free zone - except for that one time with the backpack. If you want to take your chances in the burn zone, though, that's your business.
I really don't anticipate anything being burned, except the Bronco's defense.
Just like every week in the NFL, the "expert analysts" are hyping the game, going back and forth, telling everyone how great it will be...and now as it comes down to crunch time and they *have* to pick a team, most of them are ditching the hype and picking the Hawks.
I argued for like 4 hours with my Chicken-Hawk friends over beers last night. Not one ounce nor lick of common football sense among YOU people this week. YOU people have completely lost your rational minds!
I put this up the fact that other than the 79 Sonics and 91 Huskies, the entire PNW, including the Oregun Quacks - haven't won a gawd damn thing of any significance EVER. NOTHING! Seattle got ranked as the most miserable sports city right? It's not because you haven't won anything EVER - its because you act like you already HAVE!
All of YOU people are so god-damn nervous; myopic and crazy that I'm surprised each one of YOU people haven't completely chit down your legs this week. It's like watching a fu.cking hound dog trying to chit a peach seed. Jeezus people....go to the back room and just rub one out already. It'll calm YOU people down enough so it at least gives YOU people the appearance of "having been there before" so YOU people can act like it.
Like the Broncos and Niners. We've been there before and we act like it. For fu.cksake take some notes mofo's.
Seriously - I've never seen such much myopic, echo chamber FAP'ing in my entire life. Gawd - I can't imagine how full retard YOU people gonna go after the game - win or lose.
Nice bird Dan I was hoping Hank would just shut up and go away but wtf! We dont need you on our Hawk wagon. Youre not suppose to snort you're viagra dumbass. ......Go Hawks..........Os
Seattle got ranked as the most miserable sports city right?
By dumbfucks, who have never held a 20-lb steelhead in their hands, or hung an elk from the rafters.
And just to remind you, turbo, you haven't won sh!t, either - you just bandwagon on some teams that have. That doesn't really give you any reason to pop off like you've done more than some fan of the Seahawks.
"We" have been there before. lol
That post right there is kinda Pot-Kettle-Black, don't you think?
I've hung plenty of Elk from the rafters there amigo. No twenty pounders though (but close damn it).
Bandwagon? Dude....born and raised. Uncle had and has a SKY box on the 50 of the old and new mile high. I've been at least 75+ games throughout my life. I've met, hung with and / or had dinner with every old school Bronco you can name including Bowlen, Elway, Jackson, Gradishar, Meklenburg and on and on. I used to date a Donks cheerleader for a few months.
A Chicken-Hawk fan calling someone else a Bandwagon fan? HA...that's rich. What on earth do you think's been happening in Seattle the past year? Bandwagon 101.
Obviously I hit a nerve with ya Danny-boy. I find that good natured smalk talk is always most effective when you mix in a bit of the truth. It stings and ziiinnnggs more that way. Rub some dirt on it big boy.
Listen dudes - If I hammered too hard, then so sorry. The Hawks are my second favorite team, but I can't go against my roots and Manning and I've been totally chit on all week as a local Broncos fan. Some really pissy stuff. It's like 3 million to one here - so If I give it back strong its because I'm like a damned trapped wolverine. You may win the end, but I am going to [Bleeeeep!] your chit up first.
I told you that I would be happy if the Hawks won, so I'm not anti-hawk. I'm anti-idiot and some of the stuff this week has just been beyond the pale. I get that ya'll are excited and you have every right to be. It is exciting and I'm excited for YOU people. But some of it is just over-the-top ridiculous. Try to calm down a bit or ya'll are gonna give yourselves heart attacks.
It's a joke and I'm joking around. It's smack talk and I'm smack talking around. Good smack talk because it's obviously working. None of it is personal and this is the Dark side, so....
I know Beezy. I get it and yes, PNWr's are pretty damn faithful through all of the painful years (I am actually impressed, because that wouldn't go down in other parts of the country). That's why Hawks fans are going OVERLY nuts this week...trying to get that damn monkey of yer' back. I'm just the target as the token Donks fan - which is cool. But I do have to flip some chit or your wouldn't respect me in the morning.
Listen - I have just a few teams and I have felt both sides of success and defeat. My teams are:
Denver: 2 outta 5 in the SB. 3 straight losses before Elway finally won two straight.
Nebraska: 5 national titles and wretching heart break on several more (Osborne going to 2 against Miami 84 Orange Bowl)
Michigan State: Always been U of M's little brother. Only just won the Rose Bowl after little success for year and years
So my teams have won the big games, but have lost many more. It sucks.
PNW's just need that monkey off the back. I just wish it wasn't against my Donks because I would be all in for that.
Sorry Todd - you are right. I'm hung over after getting brutalized by some Hawks fans last night and I'm all sandy today (but I am also really only kidding around). It's all good amigos.

You seem to be the one with the swollen and sandy mangina, champ.
Did you ever take a snap during a Bronco's game? Catch a pass? No and no is my guess. But here you are claiming some kind of ownership because you've been bandwagoning for your whole life. Having box seats makes you a fan, not a Bronco, Einstein.
Anyone who's hung elk from the rafters and caught steelhead knows Seattle ISN'T a bad sports town and only gets called that by faggots and other assorted dumbfucks from east of the Rockies..................but way to hang your hat on thier bullsh!t.
Your work here has been weak at best. The Seahawks are going to beat Denver's ass tomorrow, and I won't have a ring to show for it.
Not claiming ownership Dan. Me saying "we" is no different than the 12th man fans saying "we". It's called fandom for a sports team or being a fan.
No I never took a snap for the Broncos. A member of my family, who happens to be a major dick, rich and lucky in life has afforded me the opportunity to experience some very cool Broncos things. That's it - nothing more or less, but please don't call me a bandwagon fan.
I've met, hung with and / or had dinner with every old school Bronco you can name including Bowlen, Elway, Jackson, Gradishar, Meklenburg and on and on. I used to date a Donks cheerleader for a few months.
It sure sounded like it didn't it? Uncle and all that. But its truth. My favorite was Tom Jackson, who's the nicest guy you would ever want to meet. Only met him once for a little bit, but he was a class act. I was like 15 - 16 at the time and he chatted me up when the other adults in the room could have cared less. The cheerleader was an alternate to the main squad and worked for my father in his dental office. She wasn't all that hot, but she was flexible.
Well none - which is why its not logical to take any other QB regardless of age until he retires (except maybe Brady). It's gonna be fun watching Wilson, Kap and Luck develop over the next few years.
Calling Seahawk fans "bandwagon fans" is Hank's incredibly stupid thing to say, leave that one to him.
Also, I'm sure all those Bronco fans back in Denver are being totally chill about the Super Bowl, and most of them were fans when they last won a Super Bowl in...1998. Sixteen years ago.
Hell, I bet half the Broncos fans were in elementary school then.
Fish on...
Todd
P.S. I played DE/TE my first year of football in 1977...and I was number 79. It's not a coincidence that 79 was Jacob Green's number, nor is it a coincidence that I have been a Seahawk fan since then. When did you become a Bronco fan?
I've met, hung with and / or had dinner with every old school Bronco you can name including Bowlen, Elway, Jackson, Gradishar, Meklenburg and on and on. I used to date a Donks cheerleader for a few months.
This has Redhook written all over it.
Just wanted to acknowledge the solid Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzziiinnnnnngggggggg right there.
NickhookD90 you were not born here you will never get that we won everything by just Growing up here in the last 50 years. National championships are just frosting not the whole cake. it's only been the last 20 that the hipster software fags born elsewhere took over .
Why do you continually insist on telling me what I think and what I say, when your track record over the past many years is ZERO percent at being correct?
Of course there are bandwagon fans...but I guarantee you that most the ones here on this thread that you keep talking about are not...
For the record, I was rooting for the Niners 7 years before they won their 1st playoff game and 18 years before their 1st SB.
... And you are proud of that???
Not really. The point was I'm not a "bandwagon" fan.
How long did it take the Seahawks to win (or even be in) a playoff game? If you were a fan before then you're not a "bandwagon" fan either.
I was at the Seahawks first playoff win on Christmas eve 1983. Is it a coincidence they got their first win against the same team they're going to beat for their first Super Bowl tommorow?
Earlier today I was a total jerk, so with that I would like to apologize to the board and anyone I may have offended. I did not mean to imply that the fine folks on this board were bandwagon fans. Rather, some of the folks I encountered this week were and it was pretty obvious due to their comments and behavior.
I trust in and know that many of you have been Hawks fans for a very, very long time and have stuck it through with your team during thick and thin. Kudos to you real fans and to the 12th man for representing locally and nationally. I hope you do get your first tomorrow - you've earned it.
Since I got asked, I don't remember when I became a Broncos fan. Pretty much since the day I was born. I have a couple of baby pics in old Orange Crush gear. My father was good friends with Randy Gradishar and the folks tell me I was almost named after him, but they stayed with a family name. That's my "cool story bro"...
Who's Wilsons? You can say that about any of em', but nobody wants anyone to go down (on either side). Don't the Hawks want to beat him full strength - full game?
Nervous? Not in the slightest. If I was I wouldn't be going out of my way to offer up some bets. Totally & supremely confident. If I'm wrong, I'll pay up and eat crow.
BUT, I won't be so I have that going for me which is nice....
Now you Huskies know what its like to be a coug. Hoping that your team will finally win the big one. Epically stressed out about the game right now not planning on much sleep. Bulliet not having the desired effect. I have avoided all media about the game for the last two weeks. Living in a Seahawk bubble all the rituals have been performed at the shrine. 38 years of hope in one game. My gut says we put a beat down on them early and often. For once in my miserable fukin Seattle sports life God have mercy on me.
Yes - he has been. Has been. That stops tomorrow. Remember I called this before the season started and won the Hawks Niners Season Spread Challenge. So I can sort of pick em' too bruddahs and I'm going DONKS BABY!!!!!
How much pregame are you going to watch? I'm down at my Buds place on the Clackamas....slow today...will fish until 1 or so then watch a few hours of hype......getting amped.
Manning is a fucken pussy ass that takes strapons up the ass. Hope his gay ass gets sacked and tea baged by the hawks defence all day. Go Hawks! You have to love tube steak if you love the donks.
Supposed to be 49 degrees 5 - 8 mph wind now. The temps creeped up and they think it may not dip below 40 all night. Wind gusts to 15 mph have me worried about the duck hunting...
Nick, yer at 999 posts...save your 1000th post for the post game sobfest
Don't apologize here... the only thing more douchebag than being a douchebag on the Dark Side is being a douchebag and then apologizing...like a douchebag
I'll chat you up a bit tomorrow...unless the Donks are winning, then I may lose my phone for the day.
Good Morning to all of you.... except Slab Happy for his piss poor attitude.
Skiing all Day At Stevens Pass.... Bomb home for the Game where Todd and his GF will join.... BBQ Beef sammies in the crock pot, and Triplehorn IPA on ice...check.
Football fans ...... Who could state it better than ............
'Irony' defined is slabby calling out stupidity.
Hey - Phone Pole - this would probably be a good time for you to go in the kitchen and pour yourself a cup of shutthefu.ckup.
We were noticing the power of the stupid just in little old you.
George Carlin would most certainly have found you to be a dumbfuck waste of air, so you pulling out a Carlin quote should get you kicked in your cu.nt.
You know whenever a Slappy post mentions "stupid" that Slappy is once again going for the Dumfuk of the InterWebz Award...and winning.
Everybody has to be good at something to give them a sense of purpose in this world...some people really struggle to find it. I can't imagine the sense of relief and accomplishment that Slappy was filled with the day he figured out how to get on the InterWebz and share his dumfuckery with the world
What's everyone eating today? We know Hank is having his usual dick quiche for breakfast and scabby is drinking his cup of shutthefuckup but what about everyone else?
Horse steaks and shallott vinaigrette beeeyotches!
Donks get there 5 times while Hawks get there 4 times. Donks get 2 FG's, a TD, a turnover and another on downs. Hawks get a TD in all four trips. Throw in a loooong Harvin kickoff return and you get............
Seahawks up by five, two minutes left, and the Donks are driving for the win.
Does Peyton throw a chokejob interception on 3rd and 13 from the Hawks' 35, or does Welker drop a pass that hits him in both hands on 4th and 6 on the Hawks' 25?
The Donks will flood one side to try to overwhelm our pass coverage. If everything's covered on the flood side, he'll try to hit a screen or quick out on the other side.
If pass coverage can make him hold longer than his usual (2.3s), maybe our pass rush can get to him.
He will go up-tempo to try to deny our normal rotation in hopes of gassing our front seven.
Play fast men, harass the QB and swarm to the ball. Take the fight to them.
I saw on TV at the gym this morning that Terry Bradshaw, who was going to give away the Lombardi today, had to fly home because his old man died this morning. Serious bummer :-(
Can't stand pre-game show sh!t. Who cares that Kevin Costner is attending the SB? NTTTAWWT, but seriously, haven't they got any real programming. I think I'll go outside and put in a couple more fenceposts. And since it's after 12:00 all beverages for the rest of the day will have some alcohol content.
Anybody heard who got the NFL MVP award last night?
(crickets)
Go Hawks!
Crickets?
Slappy, you should go continue to search for your pull toy...try between folds 4 and 5.
The only crickets should be coming from whatever Boston clown voted for Brady for MVP...anyone who didn't vote for Manning has no idea about NFL football, none.
Managed to set four fence posts, fixed a sammich before kickoff, a Moose Drool, and some chips; PLAY FOOTBALL!
Start off with a safety? WTF? Sure didn't want that to figure into the final score. Not to worry, 2 FGs and 2 TDs later, I'm ready for half time. Been working on margaritas since the 1st quarter. I see this being a game with plenty of refreshments.
AND FVCK ALL THOSE PUNDITS WHO SAID THE 'HAWKS WOULDN'T BRING IT!
That was a thorough ass kicking in every aspect of the game. I hope Strike Zone enjoyed himself and looking forward to what he has to say regarding the game. SF
Congrats to the Seattle Seahawks and their fans for the 1st of what could be many NFL Championships. Your long wait is over for a Lombardi trophy and my hat's off to all of the faithful who hung in there and never stopped rooting for your team.

Congrats Seahawks fans. Well deserved and I am happy for you and the entire PNW. Great game to get that monkey off your back.
I'm here to eat my crow and I don't think anyone saw that coming - to that degree at least. From the very first play to the last....it was total domination. I'm very drunk as you could imagine a Bronco to be right about now. Chit....
Anyway- I am very happy for my friends and all of you whom I know this means so very much.

Good to hear. We knew it. But I understand your position .
I got a guy at work that wears Donks [Bleeeeep!] all year. He's wearing hawks gear tomorrow.
I'm here standing tall after an ass woopin' and here you are suckin' up. This aint your loss. This aint your game. It's mine. Step off. Let these boys have their moment and stop glomming on. Its not befitting.
Great dude. Here's a medal. Congrats? Again, this ain't your dance and it ain't the Niners dance. This is the HAWKS dance. Over my team...an ass woopin'. Let it go bruddah...I have and I just got embarrassed.
I'm not sad. I'm pissed off. There ain't no quit in CO and you can be damn sure the Donks will remember this night. See you next year Seahawks. I'm calling it right here, right now. Enjoy your moment. It’s about time you fuckin' losers won something of sustenance in this part of the country. It only took you 200+ years of franchise clubs to do it...so congrats? Blind squirrel meet nut ya' fuckin' chumps.
I tried to be cool...but noooooope. But I do forgive because success is new to ya'll and its hard to handle. Try not to cum down yer' legs too much...

Not sure what math is like in the CO school system but last time I checked the Sonics had already won a major championship. Not my fault your Donks padded their stats all season on the weakest schedule in the league and never played a D ranked in the top 10. So then we get to see what that team looks like when they play a real D and the entire world saw what they are made of.
Vegas odds just came out for who will win the Super Bowl next year...Donkeys and Hawks are both 5-1, Niners are 7-1...Vegas says those are your top three for next year.
Not sure why you lost your cool, its not the only time the Donks have been blown out in a SB. Congrats your franchise was involved in 3 of the 6 biggest blow outs in SB history

Sober up. [Bleeeeep!]!
Classic sign of being f'd up. Spews that sh!t in one post and apologizes for it in the next. He's like the drunk that beats his wife then starts cryin' about it.
nick your the one who jumped onto the bronco soapbox 2 weeks ago. Playing the hanster role, come on man! eat your crow and sober up a bit.
#1 defense simply came to the game and represented itself VERY well. Peyton Manning did not have a bad game by any means. seattle just had a answer for everything thing the donkeys tried to do. L.O.B. ! the out come was a severe @ss beating!

Not sure how you judge football but I pretty sure if your QB has 2 INTs (one returned for a TD) and a fumble most people would consider that a bad game. Most his yards and completions came once the game was out of reach.
This is what happens when a team that was very good in 1 facet of the game plays a team that is very good at all facets of the game and is exceptional on the defensive side of the ball. Broncos never had a chance and even if they get there next year, if they don't vastly improve their defense and their special teams it will happen again.
Unfortunately, some bought into the Bronco offensive hype without ever really looking under the hood at the whole package and tonight those folks are pretty sad. Good thing pot is legal in CO. If you go outside and listen closely, from the East you can hear the gurgling of the bongs and the soft whimpering of Bronco fans. Wish I owned a Jack in the Box franchise in Denver right now.
Nah, no trash talk needed. We won with dignity and let our play speak for itself. My Team, our team, all the 12's...... are the world champs! I've waited my whole life of 41 years for my team to win it all. They did so tonight and showed the world who they are, and 'Represented Seattle on the big stage like no other team ever has. I'm so proud of the Seahawks I could cry.
Such a beat down, the Bronco's wheels fell off, then Seattle started disemboweling Denver & it was a total rout. Sorry Brother Nick.
Denver Didn't even come in Second, ...I think Stam did. Time to Pay up Bitchez!
Yeeeeeeeeah thats what's up you dirty ol beeeeyotch!

Go back to Colorado you whiny [Bleeeeep!] [Bleeeeep!]!
I'm not laughing with you, I am laughing at you Nicholas! There aint no cunts like you from WA, so we will remember this night and your cuntyness. See you next year Broncs, at the glue factory! It's about time you fuckin reject losers from that part of the country did something with sustenance and went the [Bleeeeep!] back home! You are the Chump Nick the Prick!
You tried to be cool, but you're not.....so nooooope. We dont forgive, but we all understand that most women can't handle their booze! We remember our first beer beeeeyotch! Your mom tried not to let the best part of ya run down her leg.....we can see how that worked out.
Good morning ladies. Welcome to day one of being World Champs. The Hawks earned it, deserved it and played a hell of a game - a one in a million game where everything that could go right - went right. The Donks had no answer last night and have no excuses today. This is the last time I'm saying congrats - so congrats.
A lot of chit got talked on both sides over the past few weeks and last night. I'll take my lumps for running my mouth and I ain't gonna run away from you bag o' dicks - you are stuck with me for the next 364 days. You Hawks fans whined something fierce from 2006 until last night (excuses - bad calls and all that). So you are not above doucheness yourselves. Again, don't let success go to your heads too much as the salary cap is going to eat your precious LOB up in the off season. See you next year bitches.
WOW!!!!!! A beatdown of biblical proportions. Denver had not faced a defense like this all year, those that did watched the game from home. Nick.......dude? Next time take a minute before you log on! I hate sore loosers!!!!! Btw or salary cap is fine next year ,its the year after that gets interesting. Best defense I've ever seen play a big game.......that includes the 85 Bears They didn't have the LOB. It shows how a team reflects its coach ,hard nose fast smart...... Unlike the 9ers,................ Go Hawks ........Os
Again, don't let success go to your heads too much as the salary cap is going to eat your precious LOB up in the off season.
I heard a interview recently with John Schneider regarding possible upcoming salary cap issues. He didn't go into specifics but stated he has a plan in place to deal with the cap. Based on his record so far with the salary cap and player moves, I'd say the Hawks are in pretty good hands in regards to future years. SF
I didn't say anything last night after many beers that I wouldn't still say today. I don't think I've been a sore loser at all. Sore losers bitch and moan about excuses and I've said repeatedly that I have none. I used some bad language and mixed it up on some name calling, but this is the Dark Side and can you blame a Donkey after that debacle? I had 20 Hawks fans screeching in my face all night long at the watch party and I was really cool about it. I didn't want to get my ass kicked and add injury to insult. The Hawks beat enough Donk ass last night. I stood tough and I am going to continue to stand tough. How could you not?
I've said congrats to the board and to many of you personally and I mean it. I took my lumps last night and I'm here to take them today. But I'm not going to take em' laying down and that you have to respect.
That ain't no excuse Kwik. The game was, in fact, one of those one in a million type games from the first snap to the last. Everything went right for the Hawks and they played amazing in all 3 phases of the game - that's not an excuse. An excuse would be blaming the weather (when there was none last night) or Broadway Joe for screwing up the coin toss. It would be hearing that the Donks D had four starters including Von Miller on IR. But you haven't heard anything like that from me - nor will you. You show up to play the game with the players you have and if you get beat bad, don't make excuses....pull up your big boy pants and get better.

A whiny [Bleeeeep!] is a whiny [Bleeeeep!] no matter how you split it Yo! GO HAWKS!!!!
a one in a million game where everything that could go right - went right.
Sorry excuse
Went right for one reason. And only one.
We are the best for 2014
Exactly!
ESPN keep talking how this is such a TREMENDOUS upset and HOW could this happen. The focus is all on Denver and Manning the talent, disappointment and necessary rebuilding required to be competitive in the future. They are talking about how Russel is a mediocre quarterback and the defense won the game by capitalizing on Denver's mistake. Tim Hasselbeck just spewed a bunch of crap about Pete, releasing his brother and how we have just been lucky to assemble the bunch of misfits we have Blah... Blah... Blah.
Nothing about how the Seahawks DESERVE this win they earned which is exactly TYPICAL of our success all season. We have been underrated the whole season.
Considering Elway called them "soft" after the pre-season shellacking we gave them (which looked eerily like yesterday's game while the ones were playing each other in the first half)...if he had anything to say to them yesterday I doubt it was "hey, good effort!".
Or it may have been "hey, good effort!" yesterday, but won't be today, not by a long sight.
I'm getting tired of all the 'experts' who were polishing Peyton's knob all week now asking if Peyton choked, or who made a bunch of mistakes on the Broncos' side, or blah, blah, blah...
No, Peyton didn't choke...he and his much vaunted offense finally had to play a good defense, and got fuckin manhandled. There wasn't 'bad luck', there wasn't any 'choke'...they rushed the passer, made him move around, and when Peyton is forced to move around bad things happen.
As I noted many times before in this thread, when Peyton throws his usually somewhat accurate wobbly ducks over the middle of the field against marginal defenses he makes 55 passing touchdowns over the year, but when he throws wobbly ducks against our defense, they turn into interceptions.
When he has guys in his face pushing him around, he throws interceptions.
When he gets hit while he's running around back there, he fumbles.
The best thing that happened to the Broncos last night was that the 4th and 2 incompletion that Peyton threw because the ball was tipped would have been another Pick6 if it hadn't been tipped, he telegraphed it the whole way and it just missed being a 90 yard return for a TD.
There was no "perfect storm", and there sure as hell wasn't some "one in a million" game...this was a one in one game, one that happened when the things that make Peyton comfortable as a passer...poor defense, good line play, and yards after the catch...flat out DO NOT happen against our defense.
They'd do it again tomorrow...unless somehow Peyton magically became much more mobile, his line blocked our D line better, and our DB's decided not to plant receivers right where they catch the ball...and those things are pretty unlikely.
This wasn't some one off where the better team had a bad day and the other guys had an all world day...this was a game where the Broncos are not as good as the Seahawks.
The things that make their offense good do not work against the Seahawks' defense. In a head to head matchup, our defense is better than the Broncos offense. Period.
The Broncos' "worst kick coverage in the NFL" special teams cannot stop Percy Harvin, even when they try to kick it away from him...because Percy Harvin and our kick return team are better than the Broncos kicker and kick coverage team.
Everyone is talking, rightly so, about how Peyton did against our defense, but no one is mentioning that our offense also scored two TD's, which is more than the Broncos "Best Ever!" offense did...along with two field goals. Our offense is better than the Broncos defense. Period.
The Seahawks won the coin toss, and it only got worse from there for Denver...they did not do one single thing better than the Seahawks in that game.
There may not be many defenses who can do it, but if a defense can stop the one yard passes right there where they are caught then the Broncos will end up with a lot of third down plays.
If it's third and more than two, and the two yard passes are not getting more than two yards of gain, then they have to throw the ball downfield.
If they have to throw the ball downfield, and you can cover, then Peyton can't get rid of the ball in two seconds...and if it takes more than three seconds, and your D line is better than their O line, then Peyton gets pushed around in the pocket.
When Peyton gets pushed around in the pocket then the wobbly ducks are not accurate, and are instead interceptions.
When Peyton gets hit as he is throwing, then the wobbly ducks become interceptions.
When Peyton is hit before he throws, then it turns into fumbles.
Our defense is good enough to do all those things...yesterday, all season, and next year, too.
And, as I noted three weeks ago...the NFCC was the SuperBowl, the Niners would have done a lot of the same things to the Broncos yesterday that the Seahawks did. Their LB corps would have planted two yard pass receptions right where they caught the ball, they have great pass rushers, and they have an offense that the Bronco defense would not even come close to stopping.
The Broncos offense is good when Peyton Manning is able to look at the defense, see what they're going to do, and send his receivers or runners into the holes that the defense leaves open.
For the most part the Seahawk defense doesn't need to play that game...because they don't leave many holes open. They just line up and play, and Peyton can yell "Omaha!" or "Evinrude" or "Mommy!" all he wants...they don't bother trying to figure out what Peyton is doing, they just do their jobs and make Peyton beat them.
That being said...anyone noticed what happened on a lot of the pick plays and wide receiver screens that are 0-2 yard passes that become 8-20 yard gains against most teams?
We played zone defense and the guys crossing up on the pick plays were just running around, and then ran right to their defender who was waiting there for them.
Where the fukk was Manning there? Isn't he supposed to be able to figure out what the defense is doing and exploit it?
If he were doing that well last night then there wouldn't have been a bunch of wide receiver screens or two yard pick plays thrown right into the teeth of an effective zone defense...he'd have checked down to something that could have a chance against the zone.
Why didn't he check down? Couldn't tell if it was a zone or a man coverage from the lineup? Maybe, the Hawks line up the same either way, and apparently they guessed pick play or screen and ran the zone better than Manning guessed zone coverage and checked down.
Maybe he just stuck with those plays even if he know the zone defense was sitting right there to stop them...because he knew if he checked into a downfield play the hurry/hit/fumble/intercepted wobbly duck scenario would come into play and figured he'd rather complete a pass for two yards on 3rd and 8 instead of risk another interception or fumble.
Can't argue with that. But nobody saw this coming. I did not hear or read any expert anywhere who predicted a Seahawk blow-out Nobody. That's probably because, on paper, there is not much difference between the two teams. However, the game is not played on paper (I'm not the first person to make that observation). It's played on grass/turf. The Hawks just seemed to be playing at a different level/speed/energy/determination. The announcers made that observation several times. The Broncos were just plain flat. No energy, no emotion, no grit, no execution on O, D, or ST's. Take away all the points the Seahawk offense and Special teams scored, and the Seahawks defense alone still beats the Broncos 9-8.
The Super Bowl has a long history of being lopsided. One team comes out flat while the other team comes out flying. Historically, the AFC team is flat, while the NFC team comes ready to play football. This game was exactly that. There are alot of teams in the NFC that could have done what the Seahawks did. But they weren't there.... The Hawks were. Well played.
They are Champs for 365 days. And hopefully longer. Go Hawks!
No one saw 43-8...but plenty of people saw two or three score wins for the Seahawks, and were shouted down by the "experts" who thought a season of warmup games agaisnt chump defenses was sufficient to beat the Seahawks defense without changing anything up.
A certain Broncos fan that I fished with last week laughed out loud when it was suggested that Peyton Manning will be throwing interceptions if he gets pushed around, and that he will get pushed around because our defense will not allow him to throw the ball in under two seconds all game.
That is, however, exactly how it happened.
The safety on the first play of the game? No one ever sees any safeties coming, and that one was farther out than any other...that's for sure.
Percy Harvin returning a kick for a TD? The Broncos sure saw it coming...they tried to kick it away from him and he still got it and ran it back. The vantage point of the kick during the game was from behind the kicker, and as soon as we saw it was going to be a short kick that bounces to keep Harvin from returning it I was already jumping up and down yelling "Make them pay, Percy!"...and then he did.
Other than Manning being lucky that Clemons tipped that 4th and 2 pass so that he didn't throw another Pick6, the next luckiest thing that happened to the Broncos is that we stopped ourselves on offense a couple of times with penalties, or one or both of those field goals could have been TD's, too. The spot that Carrol challenged in the first half should have probably been a first down, it sure looked like Russell reached the ball several inches farther than they marked it, even after moving it nearly three feet from the terrible spot they first gave him.
This game could have just as easily been 47 or 51 to 8.
Let's thank Paul Allen for saving this team from moving to Cali! And putting up 200 million dollars of his own money to build the best stadium in the country. Thanks Mr Allen!
Gee Todd, that was a pretty good summary up there. And then you come with more! Got anything else you want to mention? Sure don't want to leave out any details now. Really, couldn't have said it any better.
I'm still wanting to hear the media pundits say that the Hawks really are this good, that it was no glitch on the Bronco's part. I want to hear that the Bronco's played their best game, and that it got them trounced.

+1 for Toff.
Nuthin' more really needs to be or should be said past that post.
Chris Carter last night went from "The Broncos are going to win" to "doesn't matter, the Hawks won't be able to keep this team together"...what a fuckin douchebag.
Apparently he gets to check his brain and balls at the door as he walked into the HOF on Saturday.
"My man said that we were appetizers, he told me to Google him. I saw that he was a Hall of Famer, I didn't see any Super Bowl appearances. I would love to show him the Super Bowl ring and if he doesn't want to come and see it personally tell him to Google it."

Fish on...
Todd
He is a doosh of the highest order. His denigrating comments about our some of our players have come back to swift-kick him in his saggin' ass.
I'm enjoying the Bronco fans getting all fired up about Peyton's Super Bowl record completion total.
Seriously? That's what you got? Average of what...eight yards?...on those completions?
Those two to four yard completions are like runs for the Broncos, not passes...and the defense let them have them, and then tackles them right then and there.
Trust me...if you see Peyton Manning completing 34 passes for 280 yards in a game, you should be very, very worried...not excited about it.
That is not evidence of your QB lighting up the sky...it's evidence of your team crashing and burning, hard.
Maybe next Super Bowl one of the QBs can do 35 shuffle passes in a row for 65 yards and break the record...while losing by 45 points.
How about this one? RW goes down and out for holding on to the ball too long and getting his throwing arm slammed.......damaging his glove as well.
Russell survived....

How do you not love Kearse? The kid came up big in some huge games, and played a real role in the Hawks bringing home the LT.
That's the beautiful thing about the Schneider/Carroll partnership and the always compete mentality. If money is your thing then good luck in free agency. If winning is your thing then welcome to training camp where you may still lose your job to an undrafted free agent. Or a 5'10 5/8" 3rd rounder.
How many times have we seen pro athletes go in the tank after signing a huge contract yet on the Hawks we've seen ET, Cam and Beast all play their best ball after their big paydays. Dumping Flynn and eating his signing bonus sent a huge message both inside and outside the organization.
Tate either signs what Schneider puts in front of him or gets replaced by a "pedestrian" 6th rounder.
The Hawks will never find themselves with half their cap space going to one superstar.
And that is why this train is just starting to get rolling.
I'll be. We kicked some butt, for sure! And I'm glad we did, but I am surprised at the total domination. I know, I know....you girls all knew that, right? LOL...That's good, because you after-the-fact experts can now retire in luxury, right? Toddler can finally move into something he earned with all the money he made in bets....that's obvious.... (or maybe he's already IN what he's earned) Congrats on that, Todd! The rest of you noise makers made a bundle as well, right? AND you know that Stam is undefeatable (not, but his record is impressive), so you backed him up, right? Yeah, uh huh. I'm out about a tank and a half of fuel money because I bet on what I thought the outcome would be, not because I was in favor of a Broncos win. I lost the bet. No excuses, No crying, and apparently No Vision. Stam stepped up and challenged my predictions. Good for him. But unless I missed the outlay of bets, which I don't think I did, the rest of you .... well, (pump yourselves up and complete with whatever you like)
BU ttercup, you'll never measure up. It really is just that simple. As for the rest of you groupie rejects........grow a set. Here's to hoping I've given you something to do while I live rent free in your heads.
Horse face Elway should go back to selling cars. His "we didn't compete" speech in the preseason is the only thing he got right. They forgot to compete...........again
This. Besides the opening plays of the first and second halves, Seeing Horsey NOT smiling in his executive booth was the best scene of the evening.

I just caught it on youtube. Talk about a happy kid! All the players, coaches, organization earned it.
Not to change the subject, anyone else feel kinda sorry for Browner? It was just weed, and he did contribute. Does anyone know if he's eligible for a ring?

No sympathy here. He knew the rules. What I think about pot and what the NFL thinks about pot are two different issues.

If what he says is the truth,he didn't know that playing in the CFL meant that he'd be drug tested by the NFL.
That's like McDonalds drug testing a dude working at Wendys.

I was at the Blazer's Victory Parade in '77. These are historic times.
I am in Miami 100% of the people believe the donkeys lost the game via poor preparation non of them think the hawks would win the best out of 5 . I hope Seattle San Fran or Arizona dominates the next 10 years to teach these east coast fuks a thing or two about a thing or two. Fuk stick fukin bass fisherman and tree stand white tail ambushers .

exactly, pay no attention to them they are just transplants. west coast teams are just as dominant as east coast teams but they can't wrap that around their heads because of the time difference, mfw Denver is pretty far west.
Lots of pats fans mouthing off saying they would have beat seattle. Boston strong= hiding in their houses because the cops said it was dangerous is the only lockdown they know about.
So this Donkey fan was at the infinity pool bar in Cabo last week spouting off about how the Hawks couldn't cover Peyton's receivers. I asked him what the score was the last time they played in preseason. He said it didn't matter. I had it with the dumbazz Donkey and talked to another guy about fishing for tuna, dorado, and marlin.
I watched the game again last night. Seahawks did dominate. No team would have beat them for the preparation they made for this game. That is no excuse for Bronkys--they had the same 2 weeks to get prepped. That'll learn em
I liked what Kevin Clark wrote about the Hawks plan to contain Manning:
"But a review of the game film shows that Manning's struggles were destined from the start. Seattle's strategy focused on containing Denver's vaunted short passing game, exposing the Broncos as a team with surprisingly few tricks in their offensive bag.
The Seahawks gladly let Manning break the Super Bowl record for completions. He connected on 34 of his 49 passes. The hulking Seattle defense held those passes to an average of 8.2 yards per completion, the third-worst mark in Super Bowl history, according to Stats LLC. The plan was simple: Let Manning have his short passes, but make sure they stay short.
The Seahawks have a few trademark moves: They pressure the quarterback with their endless parade of talented defensive linemen, and their oversize cornerbacks push receivers out near the sideline. This leaves large spaces in the middle of the field, where safeties Earl Thomas and Kam Chancellor wipe out receivers that come through.
What the Seahawks did on Sunday was take that standard operating procedure and make tweaks to neutralize Manning.
The first rule of facing Manning is don't blitz. According to Pro Football Focus, there were 184 instances this season when brave, foolish souls blitzed Manning; he devastated them in response, compiling a quarterback rating above 100 in those situations.
The point of blitzing—that is, sending defenders other than linemen to rush the quarterback—is to get the quarterback uncomfortable, gambling that he won't be able to find the hole in the defense that was created when the blitzing player left his post. That doesn't work on Manning. The Seahawks knew this, so they tried something else.
On Denver's first third down of the game, Seattle sent only three pass rushers. The rest dropped into coverage. This is almost unheard of in the NFL. The play resulted in a short three-yard completion that forced a punt. In another critical instance, the Seahawks sent the standard four pass rushers—yet defensive end Cliff Avril got to Manning anyway, hitting his arm as he threw. Because linebacker Malcolm Smith wasn't blitzing, he was there to intercept the floating pass and return it for a backbreaking touchdown.
In fact, on some plays, the Seahawks would even drop their linemen into coverage, even though they weigh around 300 pounds. A typical play saw them backing straight up and standing towards the middle of the field and giving Manning yet another (large) object to avoid. The three-man rush could still apply pressure, however.
This was the theme throughout the night. The Seahawks wanted to keep every play in front of them to prevent the Denver wide receivers from executing their blocking schemes to break off big gains after the catch—the Broncos' trademark."
At first I was concerned when I'd see Manning complete those short passes, but the Hawks' plan wasn't to prevent those pass completions. They just whomped the receivers ass onto the field where he caught it for small gains.
I rescheduled everything that I had appointment wise in the downtown area today. Traffic was a complete cluster this morning.
Watched the condensed version SB again last night on the NFL channel. Thanks for the reminder Richard. After watching it again with all the fluff cut out in between plays, that was even a more thorough ass kicking then I thought. You pick up a lot more details of the game watching it sober.... SF
It was indeed pretty crazy down there today...the crowd was gigantic, and everyone was really nice and in a very good mood, even considering it was in the low to mid 20's with a fairly stiff and freezing wind blowing all day.
The parade was great, the show at the stadium was even better. I'll see about throwing some pics up when I get to getting them out of my camera...still trying to thaw out a bit
yes i know. that's the reason for the "eating crow" aspect. these two jokers and every other person sitting in front of a camera for a living, all said the same thing. not one gave the S.S.Hs are very high chance of winning. all of them gave manning a 95% of destroying the hawks defense and systematically.
their all jokers and are eating copious amounts of crow. this defense is being considered the very best to ever destroy a #1 offensive seed.
The big market media and 3/4ths of the country can suck the musky sweat off my sack. The hawks are world champs the cougs and huskies are on the rebuild I feel a rebirth of sports in Washington minus the fukin mariners.
thank god for baseball. Us old timers need somethin' besides checkers. That football's a rough game and I still don't get that down and distance thing.

by what seattle did all last season and this season, the future looks super impressive bright for this team to be highly completive to repeat again. golden tate has already stated he'd be willing to go the huge contract to stay on the team.
Schneider and carol have the right mojo going on to make seattle a major title contender.

From everything that i've read and listened to in interviews and such... The guys that the schnieder and carol have hired are not the most talented guys, but they are guys that study the game and study the opponent and play as a team. They come to each game more prepared than the other team.
I'm afraid that some of them might get lazy and think that they can do it with pure talent. I hope the coaches can keep that fire lit under their butt
Kam, is the nicest guy off the field too. I have a friend who ran into him at a grocery store in Kirkland, my buddy started a conversation about the Hawks, he was the most down to earth guy you could ask for. My bud said he was HUGE!
Schneider/carol have proven the fact that everyone must compete or be replaced. I saw somewhere that since carol has come to seattle he has mowed through a lot of players or the term is retool.

Congrats to John Schnieder's staff. The Hawks college scout is a local coaches son. Hawks have found value with lower draft picks. San Diego's college scout is also a local.
that's some stupid reasoning that they are not the most talented guys. look at all the guys over the years who are absolute 1st round flops in the nfl. it doesn't matter wear a guy gets drafted or falls under the undrafted free agent status. quality players can be found any where in a draft season.
Can we safely say the Irvin at LB experiment is over and give smith the spot? On a side note malcolm smith is 1 year 8 months YOUNGER than Irvin as well.
Donald Wood, Bleacher Report Gave Seattle an “F” grade. Drafting Wilson was “by far the worst move of the draft.” Drafting Wilson and Irvin were “the two worst moves of the draft.”
Jason Cole, Yahoo Sports Gave an “D-” grade overall. Says Russell Wilson will “be lucky to be Seneca Wallace” and the Seahawks “are no closer to solving the QB situation now than they were before 2011.”
One of my favorite aspects of this SB victory is that it proved that the football media are often totally full of it, and that statistics may not matter.
Often with stats, you might be comparing apples to oranges and they simply do not work.
The guy who predicted a 38 to 13 victory for the Hawks was was hated on NFL.com. You should look up the reaction. People called him retarded.
Clemons will be gone unless he takes a serious pay cut. Rice is tough, but we did and will continue to do just fine without him...he's gone. Zach Miller is gone, too much money to pay a guy who mostly blocks, even if he's good at it.
hey hanky, I'm gonna forward all your suggestions to Petey... I know you want the best for the seahawks, and I want to make sure your ideas are known at the very top of the organization...
who knows, Maybe some of those brittle players might benifit from a personal xray tech on staff.

The first thing to remember is that Hank is full of sh!t, and only a complete goat would listen to a fuckin' thing he says.
He flapped his cakehole for the last 6 months about the Seahawk's weaknesses because Hank's an Eeyore who doesn't subscribe to Russ Wilson's mantra of "Why not us?"
I think the NFL should produce a weekly program during the season that shows what the NFL analysts predict and what actually happens.
I would love to see a compilation of all the stupid stuff said the week before the Superbowl by all the "experts", played to a backdrop of what actually happened.
Analysts seem to be protected by the NFL, where the players are judged by everything they say or do.
The NFL should capitalize on the humor that would be generated by the ignorance of the people they hire as experts.
How many years will that POS girrafe of a QB last running in the NFL?. Remember.....He still lost the game for ya...so that run means nothing.Good luck,
