If the troll formerly known as Hillary can survive dodging sniper fire, he'll survive this. It'll be nice when he has a chance to interview her during her campaign, so that they can exchange war stories.

Then there was John Kerry saying he was in a certain place when he was not. Swift vote scandal cost him the election. What do all these clowns have in common........<(

I'll bet he does. rofl

While the conservatives are circling the wagon they forget that Reagan and GW Bush lied about their military service.

Simple error...he channeled his inner Roger Clemmons and misremembered.

Do you really want to start a contest that pits liberals v.s. conservatives, judged on the basis of their honesty? slap

It's much cooler to have been on the ship that was hit and not on the ship that was 30 minutes behind.
Looking forward to the next guest appearance on Letterman.
Maybe he'll show Letterman his RPG scars.

I like to pretend the other party is full of liars and scumbags, and my party isn't.

That's what I like to do.

All this tells me Brian pissed somebody off, and now he's being thrown to the wolves in the media. That's how it works... end of story

If you want lies turn the channel from NBC to Faux News.

Faux News mostly false reports

I actually like the guy.
Smart and extremely funny.
He let his stupid shine (thanks Toff) and got caught.

Maybe his mea culpa will get him a pass....maybe not.

Re: Brian Williams debacle. - 02/07/15 11:28 AM

I figured Brian put the word out about his 'misremembering' as part of his qualifications to move to Faux news. However, a second thought is that I am of the same opinion as SZ.

Steelheadman

I perused your link and I am not surprised to find that you equate what PolitiFact classified as false statements,(many of which were made by guests that were either being interviewed or in opinion pieces), as being equivalent to outright lies made by a 'reporter'.

If you were to actually care about accuracy in the media you might try actually reading the article that you linked to,and then giving the PolitiFacts claims an honest assessment.

You could also read the Wikipedia article on PolitFact and check out the history of their Lies of the year. You might find some food for thought.

Isn't it odd that three people who claim not to give a [Bleeeeep!] find it necessary to let their 'non feelings' be known.

I don't gaf, just thought it was funny. The 100 people that watch NBC news might be disappointed. wink

He needs to be fired or resign - and that will happen in some form or another. Good. Besides the habitual lying, Stolen Valor is really, really low.

If they fired all the "newscasters" that made schit up there'd be about six left...and no weathermen.

Not me, unbiased media is DEAD! Pretty sad, the freedom of press is one of the most important things we have in this country, but how can you believe anything that comes out of their mouths. Very sad and dangerous at the same time.

Hank, its been going on for about a month now, Orielly said he was in a "war zone" in the Falklands in the early 80s, and a ton of colleagues that were there with him, said it wasnt a war zone, it was the opposite of what he said it was.... i believe even old CBS exec's said the same thing too... Mother Jones is a news agency that went after him after Orielly opened his fat ass mouth about the Williams stuff on TV....

oh, and now old Bill is PISSED....
