Can this thread just be renamed “Weekly Tuesday Update” and be merged with all previous conspiracy threads by Rich? Then we can sticky it to the top and better track the end being near.

That's because "news" sites like that are just scams for idiots...their empty heads get filled with made up news, and their computers get filled up with malware.

"Hey, knucklehead! Going to garbage sites like that will let malware in your computer that will empty your bank account!"

"Hah! Joke's on them! I am unemployed and live in my mom's trailer park, I don't have a bank account! So much winning!"

"Maybe they will steal the combination to the cypher lock on your underground bunker!"

no, it was the Puyallup river part....

whats funny about when people talk sh!t about the Puyallup, especially when they say its only a flossing river, and that anyone that fishes it is an idiot, literally knows dick about fishing...

in the 60s it was the number 2 river in the state, and at one point in the 80s i think, it was the number 1 river in the state...

anyways, im going down there, have fun talking about other dudes on the internet....

Evo is it pronounced Pull Yall Up? Was it number one for steelhead or other species in the 80s?
Posted by: Anonymous

Re: Things are about to get interesting - 11/23/19 09:30 PM

In Nor Cal there is the Mad river. Flossing became super popular in the late 80s. At one time it was a vibrant river ,and at times it can be good for beautiful wild steelhead, though few fish in it's stretches above the hatchery. It has a small run of pink salmon, runs of coho and chinook, hatchery winter steelhead and wild summer fall and winter steelhead. Most people only know the lower, levied, urban hatchery stream. There are many river like this. Evo I hear you,if you are willing to hike a little and get away from the knuckleheads, good fishing in relative solitude can await you.

I never said you were mad. The word was "upset". Google it.

Why would you be mad?

Because you don't know what 'literally' means and you don't know what a chaser is?

If those aren't it, I can provide an extensive list of other things.

Let me know.

Re: Things are about to get interesting - 11/24/19 09:49 AM

The Puyallup ranked high in steelhead harvest in the 60s and 80s. Probably the 50s too, but I don't think I've seen records back that far. There are two reasons why the Puyallup ranked high. First, it is close to urban areas, so it was within easy reach and access to large numbers of anglers. It wasn't necessarily more productive of steelhead than other similar sized river systems. Second, it produced a lot of steelhead in the 80s because it received massive plants of hatchery steelhead during a time period when smolt to adult return rates were good, and it was close to a large number of anglers.

Third, if Evo's mom really loved Evo, she would put all his belongings out on the front porch (not that most trailers really have traditional porches) and change the locks. Tough love is the best love for deadbeats cuz it forces them to grow up and take their rightful place in society by, for instance, supporting themselves.
Posted by: 5 * General Evo

Re: Things are about to get interesting - 11/24/19 02:16 PM

high harvest rates are due to high return rates, which has nothing to do with urban areas...

in 2015 they counted over 2500 redds which was the highest observed in 25 years... those were WILD fish, as VCH hasn't released any substantial number of steelhead since 2008... 3 years ago they released a few, but you cant find record of it, 2 years ago they released 10k which you can find record of, and guess what? some small steelhead are actually being caught right now....

third, you dont know what the fvck goes on in this house, so i suggest you keep your salmo gonorrhea to yourself....

Huh? Rivers closer to metropolitan areas have higher encounter rates just by the shear nature of angler numbers (pressure). It most certainly does have something to do with the final numbers. It's not the whole story (plants, ocean conditions, returns, etc.), but it is a contributing factor. This is basic algebra here.

Re: Things are about to get interesting - 11/24/19 05:52 PM

Puyallup in the 60s was hardly an urban area... Hell even the 80s... Sh!t even when we moved here 14 years ago it wasn't as bad as it is now, and getting worse daily...

There has been 4 times the amountof people in areas i fish this year than any time I've lived here... There used to be about 20 of us in some areas and now it's well beyond that....

The spawning grounds in South prairie creek are still fine, it's the nets that beat this river up....

There are still 25 plus pound fish in this system...

Re: Things are about to get interesting - 11/24/19 08:15 PM

Let me guess.

Your God Father, the esteemed Chef Jean Sean La'Douche, once taught Gordon Ramsey at North Oxfordshire Technical College and failed him because Gordon didn't let his steak rest for exactly 3 minutes and 14 seconds? Gordon got mad and went at him with a steak knife. Your God Father, who has very dangerous, expert level knife skills was able to wrist break the knife away from Gordon. Afterwards they became best friends and went to the pub together for some pints and footy watchin'. He doesn't like to talk about it though, because war is hell and he'll get trouble with the government if he talks too much. But it doesn't matter anyway, because you once cooked Top Ramen and as an expert Chef, you know the only proper way to rest steaks is for exactly 3 minutes and 15 seconds.

Am I close?

I wonder how many Republicans have to go to jail before GOP voters even begin to give twoshits about the corruption there?

Ten? Twenty? Fifty?

I don't think it matters, they could all go to jail, every last one of them, and their voting base wouldn't care one bit.

Former White House Counsel Mike McGahn was just ordered by a federal court to appear and testify.

He's the one that testified in the Mueller investigation that Trump obstructed justice by telling him to fire Mueller. After that testimony Trump told him to write a letter contradicting himself and saying Trump didn't obstruct justice, and McGahn quit instead.

Next thing they need to do is put Bolton and Rudy in jail until they show up and testify.

Rudy will perjure himself in the first two or three sentences he speaks, so that will be fun.

Bolton will take a steaming dump on Trump.

i dont "plate" my food for myself, i dont give a fvck....

the sear is also fine, its 30 seconds or so on medium high ( when the oil just starts to smoke), flip, repeat, done... thats the directions on multiple Sous Vide sites, and in the booklet that came with the thing, which i have lost...

the prawn also isnt half eaten, its a Argentine Red 16-20 count, you can get them at Safeway for 17.99 a bag (2 lb) right now, they are usually 25 a bag... sometimes they will go down to 13.99 a bag....

anyways, it was excellent, ill get you a sear picture next time... maybe ill roll with another Wagyu tenderloin, or hell, maybe a Ribeye...

Or, you can smoke the Ribeye under indirect heat until it gets within 10 degrees of where you want it and then sear it real quick on the grates over the coals.

The only worst way than sous viding a steak is to cook it well done and eat with ketchup like drumpster. I wouldn't feed anything sous vided to Hank's fatass cat, much less a human. The plastic used while you sous vide contains estrogenic chemicals that leach into the food as it is heated disrupting your endocrine system and turning you tranny, gay or even worse, into Jake. People think sous vide is better because restaurants do it, but restaurants do it because they can cook food in bulk in advance before the rush and hold it for long periods of time. It's like keeping your burger under a heat lamp for hours before you eat it just because McDonalds does. Fvck McDonalds, fvck heat lamps, fvck Jake, fvck sous vides and fvck Gronald Grumpf.

He's not wrong.

I'm retired and get by with one BBQ.

And Avid, it does rain a bit up here, which is why I have a roof over my porch and my deck. Keeps firewood dry on the porch, and I BBQ year around on the deck.

Give me a prime steak, moderately seasoned, hard sear, oven finish, compound butter and a good rest with a generous nappe of Demi glacé with a pinch of Maldon. That’s a steak.

This danish is gooooood giiiiiirl.

Do you order a Shirley temple with your compound butter and oven finish?

Pro tip for the direct charcoal method: coat the outside of the steak with course rock salt. It flavors the meat while helping the sear by keeping any ash or grit off your steak. Simply scrap off the salt once it's done crusting over before resting.

Second Pro Tip: Use ONLY hardwood lump charcoal or Alder for your coal base. Pine, Fir, Cedar and Hemlock can infuse a bitter, acrid taste which is no Bueno.
