Anybody been over there lately? I am heading over with the Lavro for a late Father's Day with the kids and grandkids, probably stay at the KOA and fish around. TIA, Mark

I haven't been there, but others tell me it's pretty good this spring, with lower than usual flow due to the water shortage. On good days the hatches have been heavy, with good fishing.

Sincerely,

Salmo g.

I haven't been there in 3 weeks, but a friend yesterday reported decent nymphing, and slow on the dry flies.
Stones 5'under an indicator, with a trailer of a PT, copper john etc worked well.
The big dry stuff has not really taken off, according to him, but that wouldn't stop me from trying.
If you float, the KOA to Bighorn stretch would be a good one, but make sure you can get through the diversion dam, or go right, and portage.
Not a big deal, but know your skill level, and stay right if unsure.

Howdy, thanks for the replies. Got there Friday night, looked around, fished KOA to Ringer on Saturday and Ringer to Big Horn on Sunday. Nice water from Irene Rhinhart down to Big Horn. Not many fish but helped the kids have a good time. No size to the fish we caught to speak of. Lots of water moving through. The diversion was fun for all and really no problem. Beautiful weather, 85 all three days. The launch, take out at Irene Rhinhart was "fast", did not use it to launch or take out as it would have been tough with the crew I had. Two guys, or other experienced crew, no big deal, kinda like that rough launch on the Satsop under Highway 8/12. Thanks again, Mark
