June 29, 2014 ... A little twist to our traditional fishing schedule this year with an extension of our Olympic Peninsula fishing season through early June to target some Sol Duc Spring Chinook.

It's that Parker fella again! This time with a limit of nice late May Sol Duc Spring kings.

With July almost here, we've switched gears and our starting things up in our Alaska fishing season. Second-run kings are coming up soon for your shot a trophy-class king salmon and Kasilof sockeye (red salmon) returns are currently at an all-time record return to this date.

Anglers can expect to see sockeye limits double from three to six fish in the very near future based on these returns. We still have some available seats over the next few weeks for either kings or sockeye, or you can book a guided trip to try for both on the same day! Please visit our Specials Page for some super savings on remaining dates for these fisheries or for silver trips / packages late this summer.

We offer our guests a dedicated set of sockeye riggings with fly rods being our preferred method to not only make the "sockeye flip" much more pleasant, but also to experience their runs on a direct-drive reel! Since sockeye fishing actually takes place from the shoreline with our boats simply used for transportation to the best locales, we also offer hip boots to all guests who need them to partake in this fishery. We also are permitted for Kenai National Wildlife Refuge waters so we can do either upper or lower Kasilof floats to follow upstream fish passage as best we can.

Looming liberalization of the Kasilof sockeye fishery means that anglers will soon be able to have the opportunity to load up like this day in mid-July last season when limits went to six fish daily.

Early season offshore reports from the North WA coast have been very good in the last week or two. This provides more optimism for a solid upcoming fall salmon season! We are booking and still have some dates available for our next OP fishery beginning in latter September with daily limits of up to four adult salmon daily!

Washington Fall Salmon, Winter Steelhead, and Spring Chinook Fishing

- Olympic Peninsula, Steelhead and Salmon Fishing Guides -

Now somewhat famous thanks to the books / movies of Twilight, and now the Nat Geo Channel's spectacle of The Legend of Mick Dodge, for many years the small town of Forks (pop. ~3100) was only known amongst a small segment of the public for three things: giant trees, unparalleled annual rainfall, and great fishing!

Join us on a float trip on one of the many rivers around Forks on the renowned Olympic Peninsula for king salmon to 60 pounds, silver (coho) salmon to 25, and the world's largest strain of winter-run steelhead like this one to the right. A trip with Bob offers you over two decades of guiding experience on some of the salmon and steelhead's world most fabled streams: the Hoh, Sol Duc, Bogachiel, and Calawah Rivers.

We cater to both conventional and fly anglers and you can even do both during the course of a single day if you wish. Fishing techniques are typically very hands-on but are also able to be geared towards anglers of any ability level. If there's a particular technique that you wish to learn or utilize, we'll be happy to accommodate your request.

We offer guests the opportunity to fish from either a heated driftboat or inflatable Puma raft,  so we have the flexibility to fish any section of river at any water level. Our Washington salmon & steelhead fishing season runs from September through late May and offers anglers world-class fisheries within a few hours drive of the Seattle area.
