Another successful day on the ocean out of Ilwaco. Started a 2 and trolled south. Boated many silvers but we were wanting our chinook too.

Started fishing at 6:10am and had 3 chinook and 3 silvers by 9:05. Chinook were not big (12, 15, & 18lbs) but it was satisfying to get them and the silvers. On the way back we found that the boys on the river were in rougher water than we were. Poor suckers.

Oh yea. Got into Ilwaco saturday night around 5 pm. Check the tide and decided to hit the river for about two hours of fishing. Started fishing around 6 pm. and by 6:40 boated a nice 5lb silver at bouy twelve. Only saw a couple of others caught around me. I stayed back away from the other boats because I was by myself on the shakedown cruise.

Had to quit at 8:00 pm because my crew was to arrive at the dock by 9:00pm. Had a great time and am looking forward to Saturday and Sunday.
