Am thinking about building an ocean dory. One of glen-L designs. I was wondering if anyone on this board had any experience fishing in the ocean on a dory. I live at the beach, and currently own a 24' bayliner nisqually that I take out in the ocean during salmon season. It is a gas hog to say the least. I want to get rid of it mainly because it is to big to get in and out of the water without two people, and it is just not economical. I looking for something I can crab, and fishin, and will handle some rough water if it has to. Any advise for or against, or experences would be apprecated.
