Hey, it looks like this fish might be the winner of the Bob's weigh in contest. I'll be volunteering as an instructor at this week's outdoor camp. Wouldn't it be great to see these fifth graders grow up and have the opportunity to catch great fish like this?

Nice toad.
So, I asked this question on another board and got a wide range of answers:
What's the minimum "trophy" size for you to have a springer mounted or replicated and put up on the wall?
30 pounds? 35 pounds? 40 pounds?
20 pounds seems to be that "Holly Grail" landmark on a steelhead.
Just curious to hear what youe landmark number would be for a springer.
I keep wondering to myself if I should have had that 30 pound springer I got a few years back mounted......or, should I hold out for a 40+er.....

It's not always the biggest fish that should be mounted but rather the one that told the best story. For many that means a large fish but not always the case. Your landmark number could be anything you want it to be.

Todd,
I'd hardly think you'd be the guy to assume some connection between an arbitrary mark on a scale and "special-ness" of a fish. Tsk, tsk. If a fish turns your crank and you get off having fish scales on your wall, then by all means hang that sucker up there.
Sg Ruh, roh, Salmo. Todd's gonna be p!ssed. Or maybe parker's gonna be p!ssed.

Mr. Parker, It's not just the size of the fish; but all the circumstances around the fish that added up to my landmark number. I've had larger fish to the boat, yet this is a fish that represents my passion. I was near other fishers from springer camp, having fun with them, enjoying life. Hans

Mr. Parker???? My Dad doesn't check this board....... No pissing here, Dan. Just asking a question that I already knew what the answers would be. Sometimes, I just like feeding the carp in the pond. It relaxes me.
