I am off to Craig, where I will be celebrating a birthday. Which one doesn't matter; suffice to say I'm north of 60. Anyway, my very good friend Sebastes sent me this phot he too a few years ago and the attached clever caption, along with a very appropriate birthday present.

Looks like Nick Amato with biography by Bill Herzog...About time you went on another fishing trip out of town....Are you trying to squeeze in as many as possible like Nicholson in the "Bucket List"?

You are right it is Nick. Hairy sack refrence is about Bill Herzog.

As far as a bucket list I don't have one. i have done damn near everythihng I can think of. I do have a fishy buicket list but it's down to GTs and Gloiath Grouper. I have a trip to Australia next spring for GT and to Nicaragua in Feb. for, among other things, Goliath Grouper.

Well you old fart I envy your retirement plan...I love reading of your latest adventure as I calm down from a hard day at work...

Funny!

You are getting uncomfortably close to the truth. But I would modify the list a bit.

1. Life alert satellite phone. Yeah, I’m an old fart but a mighty active one. I need to be able to tell someone "Help I've fallen”, from remote locations.

2. Phone that is voice activated. I can’t see the freaking numbers no matter how big they are and I still enter the wrong number. (Good news is I accidentally entered the wrong number at Safeway to get my Club card discount. The number I entered is one digit from mine and it worked. From now on I will be Mr. Johnson at Safeway. Let the gubmint track his purchases instead of mine.)

3. Depends waders might be more appropriate. What the hey, they call em breathable but a ten hour old fart still linger when you take them off. (BTW on the Red Green show the other night they had a wader inflating contest.) I know of several PP members that might be serious competitors. I know Sol once came in first and third in a circle j contest.

I'm just F'n with ya, Dave. Have a great trip and don't pace yourself after hours with "homo salmo sixpackie." That's a race you cannot win.

Yer right about the pacing thing. I used to try. Now I just try to keep him out of too much trouble. I failed at that in Yakutat. It got crazy at the Crack Whore AKA Glass Door.

I hoping Robbo will show me the highlights of Craig.

Jerry: I leave Craig on the morning of the 29th. Looks like we wont cross paths there this time.

I just walk the perimeter and play security gaurd so no innocent bystanders get injured.
