My 95 year old Grandma was perplexed by the whole thing, did not understand why it was all over the news ..over and over and over...

She didn't understand why we were supposed to care....?

either do I.

I don't even relate to that as being the same species as me...much less the same age, it's kinda like "dog years"....only different.

My advice for the day is, don't worry about it, unless you're really a 38 year old chick that has had more plastic work done than the barbi factory and you just appear to be a semi-healthy, semi-active outdoors dude....if that is the case go ahead and worry. smile

What do you guys have against Peter Pan? Do you dislike Mickey Mouse too?

Anyways - what Sal said, it is scary when people are dropping dead of heart attacks at 50. Maybe I am remembering things wrong but I don't remember people having heart attacks until they were in their 60's.

Just had a yearly physical & my doctor told me about a 32 year old patient of his that had a major heart attack. He used a calculator point system based on cholesterol levels, gender (btw stam, "chicks" live longer), age, alcohol use, family history, BMI (weight), tobacco use & don't remember what else- turns out I have a 3% chance of having a heart attack within the next 10 years. I was like WHAT? "Those are great odds, I would take them to Vegas", he said. Not so great IMO, probably time to start changing a few things.

What did the woman laying on the towel say to Michael Jackson at the beach?

Michael Jackson holds the guiness book of world records for the most money given to charity.

Has anyone ever seen Immortal Beloved? According to the movie there was great animosity between Beethoven & his sister-in-law but she forgave him after he wrote, "Ode to Joy" saying anyone who could write that should not be hated. That is how I feel about MJ, I hear his lyrics & know anyone who could write that should not be hated & also I consider the court case & know that even as bizarre as he behaved in court- he was found - Not Guilty. Some people think via media, using neither their brain nor their heart cause they believe media is the ultimate truth & yet media is all about ratings...or selling. Our courts apparently are no good...all that matters is trial by media.

Considering the court case, O.J. was found Not Guilty as well.

The fact remains. He enjoyed sleeping with children not his own. Even his children were not his own, and all three of them were named Michael. I guess he was taking after George Foreman in that respect.

To say he didn't exactly embrace the "Black Is Beautiful" credo would be a gross understatement. He took dramatic measures to deny his race.

The man was a freak without a doubt and I'm getting real tired of him as the lead news item. R.I.P. Michael.

Considering his father, the "role model" of his youth, it's easy to see why MJ didn't want to be "black" like that.

I don't believe there is enough evidence to claim MJ was guilty. The FBI has estimated that false accusations in sex crimes may be as high as 25% and considering MJ's wealth and fame, it's not hard to fathom that he was a victim in that case.

Reminds me of the Salem witch hunts. Men are so quick to point fingers, until it gets pointed at THEM.

A bed for every person is the I grew up rich way of thinking cause if you grew up in a big family, you wouldn't think that way. MJ lived with 6 siblings in a 2 bed /1 bath house, 9 in a tiny house. I grew up sharing a bed & never thought twice of it, if someone was added, they shuffled things around to find a spot. Yet many people grew up differently & have a different take on sleeping in crowds & therefore find it horrifying! Grew up hearing adults say the floor is "good for my back", thought that was a fact, yet now wondering.

MJs bedroom was 2 or 3 stories so refer back to the interview you are referencing, he offered his bed & offered to sleep on the floor. Who wouldn't offer their bed to a child?

Not proud of being black? Like Sol said "he used to be black". Guess MJ proved "color" is only skin deep if you got the right plastic surgeon. Personally wish he went for flourescent blue. Born in Gary Indiana, a ghetto, it is only poor & only black. How do you KNOW what he thought about being black?

Joe Jackson is a SOB like AuntyM said. We will never know the extent of MJs talent, he was never given a dance lesson, or a music lesson, not taught to write music had to hum his melodies yet forced to perform back in the day when child work laws were not in effect to line Joe Jackson's wallet.

Janet Jackson said something to the fact that he might be an icon to you but to us he is family. In other words she said STFU we are greiving. So with that - gonna STFU now.

Well, the authorities are investigating the fact that Michael had Dipravan in his home. The only reason to have a drug like that is to sedate someone to the point of unconsiousness. There is now speculation that Michael drugged his child victims prior to sleeping with and molesting them. What a creepy little bastage. More of a monster than his Daddy ever was.

I could speculate all manner of things about all manner of people....

but I don't.

BWP, I had 3 cousins that lived in a 2 bedroom home with their parents and they had to share a bed. When I spent the night, I slept in a bed with my cousins and nobody thought it was "wrong". It was a row house in the city and that's just the way it was in those days.

So let me get this straight. You're comparing children sharing a bed with an adult sharing a bed with children not his own?

This is how you rationalize this odd and perverse behavior?

MJ must have had people just like you on his jury.

Did Neverland Ranch have only one bedroom?

BWP, what I KNOW about how MJ felt about being black is he took extraordinary measures to change his appearance to being white. Now does that look to you like he was saying it loud, I'm black and I'm proud?
