Took some of the *residents* of the asylum we call PP on a field trip yesterday for the annual WP Salmon trip, jumped ship from the Fury and turned it over to Randy of the Rampage this time.....once again we center punched it...

No plastic state park badgers this time, Marky mark let this funky bunch foul his claim down in grayland, thanks Mark!

Setting the table..

Daughter Erica (the driving force behind the trip) building food for the boatride tomorrow.

A treat for the gang..

Not sure about this trip...is it the food or the fishing that keeps 'em coming back ..? fresh taters and garlic dug the mornin' of to go along with Hali and Salmon provided by my SE seafood connection Robbo Endo..A bunch O'crab and oysters and "other stuff" completed the pic anick.

Good dogs get crab.

..it's a family tradition.

"Everyone" loves a good campfire....

this was a good one.

Of course most drank too much and stayed up too late...

tomorrow we fish.

to be continued....

Thanks to Stam for having the idea.

Thanks to Erica for actually doing the work. Dinner and lunch was yum! Great kids are hard to come by, but it couldn't be any other way for "The Legend that is Stam."

Thanks to Mark for accomodating us all. It was 4 hours of the most peaceful sleep I've ever had in a back yard.

Dave Vedders picture that he included in his montana fly-guy guide application, long arms are definitely a plus in this biz.

I love this pic, a 4 lb coho now looks like a 5 and half lb coho

Every time Vedder missed a bite, he'd start swearing at Hankster for overfilling that new fancy Avet reel with the green line. rofl

Damn you Hank! wink

I think Mr.Vedder, with his infinite fishing knowledge, should be able to determine if a spool is overfilled...... wink

I'm thinking too that he has the knowledge to take off any excess line.....and he can probably do that all by himself.. grin

But the question I have is why does he feel he needs 65# spectra to catch a 4# Coho?

Dave? Any thoughts on that?
