Wilson is dynamic, but he has a lot to learn. And his size is a negative, he does has the biggest hands of all the qb drafted this year, that helps his case.

In professional footbal news:

The Patriots have some position batltles at D-line where versatility will again be valued as the Patriots are expected to play a bunch more 4-3 this year. Of course they were supposed to last year too but ended up playing much better in the 3-4.

Edelman, Branch and Stalllworth will compete for 2 reiever spots. Edelman has the advantage of being an excellent returner and showed himself to be competant playing slot corner when called upon. Brady loves Branch even though Deion runs the 40 in about 6 minutes flat. I wouldn't be surprise to see an "injury" here to Branch or Stallworth.

Ras I Dowling is getting a lot of 1st team reps at CB and Devin McCourty seems to be back at corner after moving to safety at times last year.

2 young RB's (Vereen and Ridley) are competing to be on the field on 1st and 10. Woodhead appears slated for 3rd down work. As always, the winner of this competition will be the one who picks up blitzes and does not fumble. He isn't Kevin Foulk (who is?), but Woodhead is a good player none the less.

Should be a good team in NE this year. The D should be improved over the underrated D from last year that consitently gave up yards but not points. Another run to the Super Bowl is possible for the most disciplined team in football. I only hope that if they get there, that the offense can score enough points. The D will likely give up some yards and about 20 points. That's what they do.

Salmosalor - my favorite games every year are when the Fish and Pats meet. You just never know what the heck is going to happen.

One this for certain, both of them are going to blow up the seachickens this season

I have to get some tickets to the game in Seattle this year. I saw the game last time the Pat.'s were here and the Pat.'s squeeked it out. That was the Matt cassel year. 11-5 and no playoffs.

Seattle's D is really good and I could actually see them giving Brady and Co. quite a challenge. Those big corners could give the wideouts fits although I still can't see anyone covering Gronk and Hernandez. If the Pat.'s try and run the ball a bit more then those talented TE's become even more dangerous.

Sorry to break it to you Chuck but your fish suck. They have a rookie QB and that never bodes well for a team in the NFL. You can only hope that they can keep him upright and that he'll be deserving of his draft position.

Provided the seachicken D is healthy I can't see a way they lose to Miami. Of course, I may be missing something here, but I just have no faith in rookie QB's in the NFL. A year or 2 down the line it may be different. Best of luck with Tannehill. Apparently all the tools are there. Personally, I would have drafted for a different need and trafted Wilson later. He was a couple of Hail Mary's from the national title game. He's also very accurate and seems to make good decisions. I wouldn't get too bothered by the height.

I like what the Chickens did at QB. Flynn was signed at a great number and they have a high ceiling kid too. Seems like they aren't putting their eggs all in one basket and that both QB's have strong upside. They should let jackson go. He's a competant back up but at his number he isn't worth keeping around.

Seattles "D" is ok ... if their god awful "O" line that will have flynn running for his life week after week. Just like Matt Brokenback had to do.

Fish wont be starting the rookie at QB ... he has to earn it first.

I see the fish signed Garrard. They may have a chance in that game.
