The gray and highlighters couldn't control the O or D lines, sometimes big and quick can beat small and quick. The highliters had no answer for Fairly, how many tackles for loses did he have? What's with the slip-o-matic turf?

"I don't know Chuck. I think you know someone on another board that believes BSU will win the NFC East next year. Good game. Auburn's line play on both sides of the ball was the difference in the game. That was a typical Oregon big post season game performance. Play decent but never good enough to win it. Maybe next year Phil Knight can buy them a victory rather then new uniforms. Congrats to the Tigers! " __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ What game were you watching ??? Is your name Brent? Nobody dominated the game, it came down to an interception that was taken away from the ducks and a play that the ducks defense quit on and gave Auburn the momentum to score. Awesome game & defenseive battle. 2 high power offensive teams that couldn't over power either defenses. I was watching the same game you were. Does 254 rushing yards by Auburn and 75 for Oregon not say something about the line play on both sides of the ball? Looks pretty dominate in Auburn's favor to me. Dominate is Alabama handing Michigan State their A$$ Not a 3 point game decided at the end of regulation. If you want to call the running game dominant for Auburn, you also have to put into perspective that Auburn ran the ball 50 times compared to 32 for the Ducks. Lets take a look at the passing game. Auburn had 35 attempts while Oregon had 41, yet Oregon had 109 yards more in the air. Which I believe is "NOT DOMINANT" of the Auburn defensive line. Not blind to the obvious..... Oregon had to pass because their o line was getting stuffed. Have you noticed most teams do that when they can't run the ball? I guess you haven't. Auburn lead in total plays and time of possession as well. Regardless of your excuses, that game was won in the trenches. Auburn dominated both sides of the line of scrimmage.

Three trips to the red zone for a total of 3 points cost the Ducks the game. At least it got somewhat exciting in the last few minutes. I did not see any domination by Auburn. Why all the SEC coaches in the booth and no one from the Pac-10? The entire broadcast seemed to be an SEC lovefest.

You must be drunker than a gang of wino's So what do they do when they can't pass the ball.... quit? No, when one type of offense does well it opens up the other. Do you even know what "keying on a specific player means" ? Just like a hot reciever, if they double team him, it opens someone else up.

"Why all the SEC coaches in the booth and no one from the Pac-10? " Well this was a National Title Game and both those coaches have won Titles in the recent past. Maybe if the Pac-10 had a coach with a Title they would have been invited to the booth as well. Just a thought

One things for sure when you turn on ESPN, you can't go a few minutes without seeing something about Brett Favre, Red Sox/Yankees, the Cowboys/Patriots or SEC Football.

This game was won by the tough play by the Auburn O and D-lines.
The game was lost by some of the playcalling by coach Chip... The vertical passing game was working, their running game wasn't... Auburn was stacking as many as 8 in the box, they should have gotten that ball out to Maehl a lot more, would have freed up Lamichael and the Oregon run game more.
I hate the SEC and all the coverage/praise ESPN gives them, but nothings worse then the Ducks. I love seeing Chip Kelly and the *ucks walk off without the W

Huh-Collage football is still being played?? I thought the season ended on Jan 1?
Oh yea-Forgot ESPN has ruined one of the greatest traditions in all of sports.
Oh-well. Slept thru another NC game.
Congrats Aub!

The only thing that got dominated during that game last night was a goodly pile of pint glasses that used to have Manny's IPA and Redhook ESB in them...I dominated the hell out of 'em Early on Cam got knocked on his ass a lot, not something he's used to having to deal with...that "interception" was not a catch, he was clearly bobbling it when he went out of bounds...but I had to watch the replay a few times to convince myself of that. Auburn red zone defense was the deciding factor, in my opinion... Fish on... Todd

Sounds like a good time Todd. I didn't drink last night, though someone though I had been. Maybe I should have. It would make listening to Oregon fans whine and their excuses for not being able to win a big game somewhat tolerable. Keith...I like your faith!

Me too ... fun game all around and was entertaining to watch. Cant say Oregon didnt represent themselves well as they pushed it to the end. Just glad the end result was the right one

I think the Oregon "D" did an outstanding job containing the Newt. If only the offense could have played as well....

Yeah, Casey (Matthews #55) did a nice job on the Newt. Definitely wiped the smile off his face. A big congrats to the Oregon D.
The Oregon O-line needed to buy a couple more seconds. The Auburn D covered the edges and got to the mesh point by playing faster than anyone the Ducks met this season.
