Up until this year, this wonderful urban fishing lake was closed for nearly two and a half months right in the middle of the summer, in addition to being closed from the normal Nov-April season. Whiney homeowners on the lake complaining of parties during the summer, apparently. When the WDFW asked for feedback last year, I sent in a complaint that the lake was essentially private property for over 2/3rds of the year, and yet was still stocked with trout paid for by you and I. Apparently they listened, because I just checked the new regs today, and no more split season! It's open from April - October! Unfortunately I can no longer enjoy the lake, since I moved back down to Federal Way, but it's nice to know that the WDWF listened to us instead of *****ing lakefront property owners. A victory for all anglers who live north of Seattle, IMHO.
