Just back from another pre-func with Robbo and the gang, as usual things went well, very well, and big thank you goes to Robbo for the invite to his show again Prince of Wales Sport fishing, Penny, JBH, Canyon Mam and myself hit the weather just right, rain in Wa and sunburns in SE AK, good fishing that can only mean better fishing in the next few months, kingers galore...we probly landed close to 60 in three days of fishing, with one in the mid thirties.. they are on their way!

Since I somehow managed to lose 2 cameras in Mexico in April I am on a self imposed camera time out, so no photos from me, hopefully Parker will fill in some blanks here, a handful of lings, yelloweye and a mess of halibut rounded out the catch of the day, eating crab to the point of excess each night while swilling pendy's and bullshitting in The Town of Man is a hard life to walk away from...

So, I'm going to go ahead and roll back in for another tour in July with my dad, brother and cousin, this is the perfect place for *that* kind of trip.

For now....I think I'll just go and eat some of that crab that we picked up yesterday and snuck into the fish boxes this morning, Keith.....this ones for you wink

Just managed to "Choke down" some of that crab myself with a nice fresh piece of Lingcod...what a dinner. As The Legend said it was another epic trip with some of the coolest cats around...and Paker too. I am sure that Paker...I mean Penny will do a much better job with the Pics and Vids than myself, but I will try to at least wet the appetite a little.

Started off the trip with a quick flight to Ketchican and when you have a little layover before the plane to Craig what do you do...quench your thirst of course.

Robbo had the Polar Bear all ready to go so I guess it is time to see if there are any fish around.

It didn't take long to figure it out.

Stam was having so much fun he decided to go all primal on one (this may have been due to the fact that his last one was confiscated by a 1500 lb. sealion....this dude is truly "The Legend"

After some doubles and triples we decided we better check out the halibut grounds and see if any were around smile

With all chickenbutt groceries accounted for it was time to see if we could find some lingers and Bucket was up to the task.

And the culmination of a "hard days work" results in a lot of fish to process

Headed to bed now but will add more pics and hopefully a couple of vids in the morning.

Once again thanks to Robbo aka The Prince aka Dr. Love for another amazing time and also to the rest of the crew Stam "The Legend", Jim "Bucket" Heins, and even Paker....you all are a great bunch of bloody bleeping Bleeps!

Stam , Scott and Parker , you guys look like you had a great time with Robbo. I am sure you guys had some great laughs too, and most likely not to much sleep, but of course with fishing like that who needs sleep.
I would ask you guys if you want to do Westport but you dudes are too spoiled now.

Okay, Okay enough with the traditional fish pictures...time for the fun stuff! After a "hard day" fishing, what better to do than head into Ruth Anne's for a beverage or three.

Then it was time to go see what was in the crab pots and start preparing a MAN TOWN dinner. Here's the results from the "Dumbest Catch" Craig, AK style.

After cleaning them all up they are ready for the crab cooker

We decided to bring a few appetizers out on the pier to tide us over until dinner...nice double barrel of oysters on the half shell. Stam seems to approve.

What does a complete MAN TOWN dinner look like...here you go!

We decided that even the local Eagles needed to eat, so we threw them some scraps and they ate well too.

The last night was reserved for the traditional trek up to the Hill bar and in true Legend form Mr. Stam did not disappoint! He coaxed the waitress into showing of her artwork and unluckily Robbo snapped the pic a little too soon as I do believe we got to all see a little lower thanks to The Legends quick finger...lol.

Then one of the locals took a real affection to old Stamley....

I do believe Stam has his own version of "Jimmie"...thanks for the round Henry and Happy 75th BDay.

I will end this wrap up with the Kinger of the trip and a good pick of the hooker, reeler, and netter. Nice combined effort and teamwork boys.

Now to try and work on that video!

Apparently not.

Looks like Bucket was wearing my favorite hat in every pic.

If anyone wants a fish of a lifetime (or even the largest king caught in the salt), just take a hand-off fish from Penny.

Works every time! thumbs

PS. We figured that king went about 35 or so.

Great report and pics!

One question.....what's the pair of old buildings in the background of the first eagle pic? Old cannery?

Penny.....I hate you Stam! rofl

Once again, I can't thank Robbo and the boys for another awesome time up in Las Craigas.

Here are some of the photos taken off of the camera. I have a slug of photos taken with the iPhone that I'll put up later. Also, I'll put up the raw unedited (and funny) movies up on youtube - just look them up under my user name "elparquito".....or wait until I post them up there in a couple of days.

Stam with your typical sized king salmon that we harassed for three straight days. These do not suck.

Here's a picture for JasonY! Your jig heads kicked ass!!!!!!

CanyonMan adding another good eating flatty to the pile!

Mr. Eagle's gotta eat too!

...and so does Stam. That boy can sure put away the crab. On the dock, on the boat...it doesn't matter. Have crab, will travel!

Even *I* ate some crab during this trip and didn't puke! sick

Penny all decked out in Prince of Wales gear! This wasn't staged at all! wink

What's the secret of my success? Just call up Penny!

Worth looking at the big fish of the trip again! Bucket deserved that one!

After a hard day on the ocean, nothing like chillaxing back at ManTown and cooking up some untra-fresh silver salmon (only one caught during our trip) and halibooooot.

Young and old eagles gotta eat too.....

CanyonMan gives the Thumbs Up after catching this nice 41 pound halibooot in an unlikely spot. He was really hoping that fish turned in to a 60 pound king.....

Couldn't have timed the weather any better. Three great days of sunshine and here's what greeted us on the morning that we had to leave Las Craigas. Sorry about that Robbo. We took the sun with us.

Again, I can't thank Robbo and the Prince of Wales Sportfishing enough! I can't wait to take my boy up there in a few years. It truly IS the place fishing dreams are made of!
