Exactly and that is why I said I would rather have 16/5 vice 14/13. Its not like every QB is going to be Brady, Brees, Manning so we need someone who can run the offense and manage the game. Seem to remember a QB back in 2000/2001 won a superbowl by not letting the offense lose the game.

Moss will be Moss and if he doesn't like it on the Niners, Harbaugh will make him leave. His only value is as a downfield receiver and there are questions of whether Alex can get the ball to him or if he can even still get open. Regardless, whenever he's on the field someone has to be responsible for him and that leaves one or two less defenders on Davis and Crabtree.
Kaepernick will be pushing Alex for the starting spot but he's at least another year away. Nobody should doubt his arm strength or running ability and another season will (maybe) make people think of a lesser Cam Newton when he's on the field.
The Niners are in serious need of a guard and some depth at safety. It wouldn't surprise me if they traded up to get Decastro; he's someone who can start right away. It also wouldn't surprise me if Harbaugh (thinking about losing Baldwin last year), would go after Fleener. He's the best TE in the draft and a real threat in the Red Zone.

Manningham is in the house. He was a #3 receiver with the Gnats but he's fast and can get separation. Caught a TD against the Niners and you saw that catch in the SB.
The Niners have been looking for a guard since Stanley signed with the Cards. Schwartz came in for a look but signed with the Yikes. Now they're looking at ex-Cards-Cowpunks-Lions Leonard Davis. Been around since '01 but he's a load and he's only missed 5 games since being a first-round pick and first-year starter. They have Kilgore that they drafted last year in the 5th and ol' Chilo Rachal that likes to give up sacks. They need help in that spot for sure.
I really doubt they'd move too far or give up too much to get DeCastro. Baalke's style is to get the best player available when it's their turn and if they're looking at guards, there are a few good ones available then.

No, Iupati plays on the left side. They started Rachal at RG last year and quickly learned the error of their ways...moved Stanley there and it was pretty smooth going until they were playing the Ravens.

I see Leasty is expanding his career to the Big Screen as a "goon".
Nick Eaton of seattlepi.com says Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch has a role in an upcoming movie featuring Lee Majors, Gary Busey, Margot Kidder and Edward Furlong. Eaton: "Lynch will be playing 'mob security guard' -- officially credited as a 'goon' -- in a film called 'Matt’s Chance' from local production house Mirror Images. Lynch will be in Seattle this week for a three-day shoot at the iMusic club in Lower Queen Anne, said Nate Riley, producer and marketing director for Mirror Images."
It's good to see he'll have something to fall back on in his post-football years. He could be the next Mr.T

By the time the Fawks sniff the Super Bowl again, Leasty will be using a walker and drooling all over himself.
The Niner Special Teams unit (#1 in the NFL) laying waste to Peterson of the Cards.

Once again proving rankings mean nothing, since it was the special teams that cost you a spot in the big game.

Back up or not. No one will remember that they were ranked #1, or the return against the hawks. They will only remember that your special teams fumbled the punt costing the team a trip to the super bowl but spin it anyway you like it.

I am sure you will, although I think the Hawks have a good chance to at least split the series this up coming year but no need to get to far ahead since they haven't even had a mini-camp.

Looks like the Niners have made a deal with Stealers receiver Mike Wallace. There's also a rumor going around the Fawks are talking to Niner receiver Michael Crabtree. That's a double bonus in Ninerland.
Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania - It looks like Mike Wallace has a suitor after all. The San Francisco 49ers are reportedly close to a blockbuster multi-year deal with the restricted free agent. Sources say the deal is reportedly a 6 year, 105 million dollar deal. There is no word yet, on how much of the contract is guaranteed.
It's April Fools' Day.........
