Let's see: the bet was for a (singular) round of drinks and we have three days of fishing. My advice to you is to either slam down your drink the first night and suffer through the next two dusty days, or ration it three ways to cover the whole trip. You could have Ruth Anne give you a drinky bag or have her stick it behind the bar. Your choice.

What do you expect Vernon Davis to say? Based on the 49ers results last season, I would say they should be and will be in the conversation. However, Seattle and Arizona will have something to say about this too. Both teams have improved during the off season and it should be about week 4 when the cracks in the 49ers locker room start to show up from Randy Moss's presence. Everywhere he has been it has been the same: Randy looks great early on but it doesn't take long and the wheels start to come off. All it will take is a few too many balls to Vernon Davis and Alex Smith not seeing Randy deep a couple times. All that being said, if the 49ers stay healthy they are the team to beat, however, an injury to Alex Smith and it is over.

Our pass rush is going to be crazy....Irving/Jason Jones/Clemons, they're going to shred SF o-line and reek havoc. Top 3-4 defense this year!!! BOOOOOOOOOOOOOK IT.

Multiple sources told CSNBayArea.com Saturday evening that Smith sustained minor stab wounds, most likely from a small pocketknife, while he attempted to break up a fight. The location of the wounds are believed to be in his shoulder and abdomen. A sheriff’s department spokesman said investigators are still gathering information and there are no suspects in the case.

So, he gets stabbed while attempting to be a peacemaker? He needs to stop hangin' around with that crowd. But, if he gets another 14 sacks this year, I can overlook any/most/some/a few indiscretions on his part..

the only 14 sacks this year for the Niners will be Alex Smith... but its more like 144...

If Alex played defense, he could probably get 14 sacks against the Fawks O line.
