Martha Lake..where is it? - 04/08/07 02:59 PM

Hola,

I am a recent transplant from Pierce County to Snohomish County, and I want to hit up Martha Lake for some simple shore fishing. My question is simple, people refer to two different Martha Lakes (one referred to as Martha Lake - Warm Beach).

I have seen Martha Lake off of 164th by I-5, but dont know where the other one is, and which one people are referring to for fishing. Can someone provide cross streets for both?

thanks

Tim

Martha Lk- Actually Lk Martha is easy to find.. North on I-5 to Smokey point.Take left onto 172nd street. Proceed approx 1 mile to Lakewood road (T intersection) Take right, follow Lakewood rd about 5 miles or so. Since Lk Martha is almost all private access, (there is 1 public boat launch) You probably have to know someone who lives there to get decent shore fishing. Lk Ki and Lk Goodwin are better as there is some good public shore access points. These two lakes are on the same Lakewood Rd, and you'll pass by them both on the way to Lk Martha. I don't think Ki is open yet, but believe Goodwin is year round.. The area is known as the 7 lakes area, and besides Martha, Ki & Goodwin, there is also Shoecraft, Crabapple, Loma & Howard, but as with Lk Martha, most of them are private access. Good Luck
