If the Volt could make it 150 miles on a charge, I'd have one. I'm not a fan of oil companies. I like BPA a lot more than Exxon/Mobile and would rather give them my money.
Get yourself a CODA. They have one now that will go 125 miles on a full charge (6 hours @ 240V), but they don't have a dealer near you; you'd have to come down to Santa Clara to pick it up. You still get the tax credit and the thought BPA will be getting your money instead of the evil oil companies. It's manufactured in China with final assembly at the Benicia,CA plant.  Plus..they're working on one that gets you the 150 mile range you're looking for.  http://www.codaautomotive.com/ If you could settle for a 100 mile range, there's always the Nissan Leaf.

I do. Every day, except when I forget. Being an old man beats the
hell out of the alternative. And gives me lots of giggles seeing
some of what passes political knowledge from the libtards.
Most of them have the vocabulary of a street corner brat and
love to display that vocabulary. Some even make it to three
syllable words. Amazing. Dolt
