Was kind of a Bible of "how to" back then. internet has 20 times the information now, but there's just something about the old black and white photos, and paper that the internet just can't reproduce. Every time I go to toss it out, it goes back on the shelf. Have not looked at it in years!

That book was how I taught myself to tie flies. I about wore it out. Though I would have guessed it came out before 1980.

Around that same time,
I loved Stan Fagerstrom's "Catch More Steelhead". It worked.
