I fished last Friday for a few hours before dark down below the beginners hole. There were two other guys there. No one caught anything.

Went back on Sunday, up high in the canyon. The water is as low as it was any time during the summer, but the fishing was better. There are some colored up silvers. Lots and lots of jacks. I lost two steelhead. I saw two winter fish caught. Also saw several summer fish caught - one was a beautiful native buck of about 17 pounds. C&R. I thought it was a pretty good day considering the low, clear water.

Jacks were going nuts over sand shrimp. The steelhead were caught on sand shrimp, mostly. The big summer buck bit on dyed prawn, I think. I caught a big silver on a #5 green Vibrex.
