A few years (5) ago I bought a vise at the Sportsmans that cost me $40... and it is the best thing I did... it was so good that in the following 3 years, all 5 of my buddies now have bought the same vise.

It can hold very small hooks and big salmon hooks... it rotates, you can open it with one hand, the clamp is removable if you want to place the vise in a hole in your fly tying box or desk...
