FJ15 interesting you were 'up' skiing in Canada; wife, daughter and grandsons are headed that way Saturday morning. Only 'hiked around' the ski area in August (grand place to go, you take the chair up to the top and off you go.)

But Lordie is it easy to get lost as the "trails" are only marked with rock 'carrons' that have been piled up by former hikers. The week before we were there a young couple on their honeymoon got lost for three days! GPS time??

Part the cracked me up (thinking you're in the middle of nowhere) was all the cell phone calls I got walking about the top of the mountain.

Back to the question about the end of May and 'winter steelhead' fishing. There will still be quite a few fish in the very top end of the river at that time, but suspect most will be pretty dark. Best winter fishing is in April ... and we're to hit 80 degrees again this weekend. By the end of May you will need PF 35 or you'll get fried!
