We're not at that stage (yet) on the Rogue dispite our 95-105 degree days over the past two weeks. Large dam (Warm Springs) is dumping water out at 59 degrees at 1708 cfs.

This will keep the water fairly cool for at least 30'ish miles down stream. Where it's getting interesting is we have several water gages (stream flow) over that same stretch.

We're loosing 200 cfs to evaporation/irrigation; water flows don't get back to 1700 until you get all the way to Grants Pass (60 river miles). At this point there's a lot of algee starting to show (green tint to the water).

Corp of Eng. will give the river a big boost the last two weeks of August to cool and pull up the fall kings/summer run steelhead.

So far (Spring King run has been over 34,000 fish plus 4,000+ summer runs as of 7-20-04) the opportunity to fish has been top end this spring/early summer.
