So for now, because I needed a new Steelhead/Salmon rod desparately and I can't afford those $600.00 GLX or Sage rods.
But I still wanted a quality inexpensive heavy duty fast action rod.
So I purchased a TFO TiCR 10WT along with a new Tioga reel spooled with 300 grain integrated WFS wet Teeney line.
This rod is so much better than my old Loomis premier.
May be I should just take my Premier rod and turn it into a bonking stick now that I can't save it.
