The definition of socialism has been been perverted by politicians for political purposes. i.e., to scare people about something they don't even understand and which doesn't even exist in the U.S.

Actual definition:

1: any of various economic and political theories advocating collective or governmental ownership and administration of the means of production and distribution of goods (we don't do that.)

2a: a system of society or group living in which there is no private property
b: a system or condition of society in which the means of production are owned and controlled by the state

So again, that's not us at all and it's very unlikely it ever will be. I don't know any Americans who want that.

For example, many of us own property and have a right to defend it. So say evo comes onto your property to defend your mailbox and he starts threatening you. You can blast him in the ass with rock salt and you'd be ok.
