I did a search and nothing I seen popped up.

Anybody have a special recipe for canning shad? Other than the standard put fish in jar 10# 100min.

Also not looking for "Wash jars. Throw fish away. Put jars back in storage" or "Freeze shad. Putt in crab pot. Eat crab" ect ECT ECT ....

I think its decent canned with no additives. Also pretty scrappy critters pound 4 pound on light steelhead gear.

Not a fan of all the bones if trying to eat fresh. Tasty but too many bones to deal with.

I even fried up the skeins and not bad in moderation.
