It seems that just about all the hatcheries now have their hatchery creeks fenced, or barb-wired. Same with the holding ponds.

I remember watching the fish from close up when I was a kid at the Tokul hatchery. Now you have to be ten feet from the trap and look through a chain link/barbed wired fence.

Lame.

But not nearly as lame as someone who would actually steal fish. I still wouldn't like it if they were starving or something, but I could at least understand it. But to do it to get the eggs? Come on. Keep doing that and you'll be standing on the side of the river with a hefty bag of bait and no fish to use it on.
