Later in the month is better for both kings and reds.

If you want to stay on the Kenai, you're going to be hard-pressed to stay under that $$$ limit ... waterfront lodging on the river goes for a premium and it's actually quite late to be looking so you're going to find slim pickin's.

You can find rental boats ... Riverbend Campground might have some left ... but you better get your buns in gear there too!

As for guided trips ... we have them all ... Kenai, Kasilof, Upper Kenai trout, fly-outs, Kenai Reds, and so on ... you can email me if you'd like to set something up.

As for bankin' it ... reds are the name of the game ... very crowded unless you have access to some private areas, but a ball, you can watch one of the reds video on the videos page to see what it can be like. Other than that, it's pretty limited save for a little trout / dolly action on the smaller streams to the south and the Upper Kenai or perhaps some of the local lakes. As for bankin' it for kings, don't bother that time of year.

Good luck!
