This is my fist time posting, seems like a great board. Anyway, I agree with the general consensus about Maxima UG line being one of the best. But, I'm surprised Maxima Chameleon didn't get a couple of mentions. While I use UG in ultra clear conditions, I prefer Chameleon becuase of it's superior abraison resistance and stiffness. It seems to take the abuse of using spoons and spinners a lot better than UG. Seems like I'm ready to respool after just a couple of uses when I'm spoon fishing with UG, but with chameleon I use it for a dozen or more outings and see little wear from line twist and overall wear. It also seems to turn flies over a lot better than UG with it's stiffness. Sometimes I think that people shy away from it becuase of it's dark color, but I don't think it tends to matter when it comes to salmon and steelhead.
