Johnstar:

Fished Clear Cr. a couple of summers ago. This area is accessed with a boat and you basically fish the gravel bar above the mouth of the creek. Heavy drift gear consisting of a mainline of a minimum 20-25# test, and leader of the same. Big spin-n-glows in shades of black with a size 3/0 hook. No bait is allowed in this area too. Usually takes about a 1 ounce of lead to reach the bottom. I hooked several fish but all were dark red. C & R all of them, once you kill a Chinook you have to stop fishing for the day. I was there I believe during the second week of July. The biggest hint I can give you is that those quick little smolt bites you feel at the end of your rod tip aren't smolts there 20 -50# kings!

You can e-mail me if you want some additional info.
