Well if it is spinning gear, cast with the right, reel with the left hand. just do not switch hands to reel comfortably.
Bait casting, well i have both right and left.
Depends on what and when as to which one i use.
Small fish or small streams i use the left hand reel, big water or bigger fish, i have more control with my left thumb to spool or thumb drag and feel i can hold big fish better.
I am right handed, but do somethings backwards, use to be as a kid amidex'd, but as all older things, just start loosing the feel.
