Good to see ya here Bill! There are fish all up and down the Columbia, so pick a good area such as out of St. Helen's (fish around dolphin #72 area) or Rainier (fish over near the Longview Bridge or up river toward Prscott beach on the Oregon side) or out of Chinook Landing near Troutdale (just look for the boats). Reports indicate most fish are being caught in 12' to 14' deep water. I still think trying out a little deeper if you aren't hooking up is a good idea. Anchorup on the outgoing tide, and fish K-12 thru 14 Kwikfish (K-15 in slower currents). The K-14 in silver with blue scale and the new K-13 with silver and chartruse tail are among the better ones. And of course herring and rolling prawns are always good. I recommend using about a 55" leader with about a 30" lead dropper. On the incoming tides in the slower currents try trolling these same things, both up and down stream. Good luck. -
