I think the sturgeon eat them or scare them off... This has happened to us quite a few times. Has anyone else experienced this?

You might want to try and tip your shrimp offering with some nightcrawlers, a shrimp/crawler cocktail - I know some oldtimers that used to kill them on nightcrawlers only
