Another vote for a braided line ... why mess with the wax PLUS you get no stretch when you need it, when working a 90 degree angle from the bobber to the fish. Much better hooksets with the braids and you don't have to fiddle with things while fishing.

I use 30# Power Pro in pink and treat the last bit of it with fly floatant and won't go back to anything else nowadays
