Recipie for pickling:

1. Layer of course salt (Rock salt)
2. Layer of what your pickeling (Bait/Fish)
3. Layer of salt, Ect.....
4. Cover container and put in refrigerator or cool place for Approx. 2 weeks.
5. Rinse thouroly
6. 2 quartes white vineger
7. 1.5 quartes water
8. 4 tabelspoons brown sugar
9. 2 teaspoons alum
10. .5 cup pickling spice
11. slice onions, add as much as you want
12. button mushrooms
13. Bring to a boil, then let cool
14. Pour over bait/fish
15. Put into container of choice

I've never tried this with sandshrimp but it works with herring, smelt, prawns, sardines, and eel. Good luck!
