Thanks for your support. I also know the Wallaces ways, but this time I think that they are caught between "the rock and the hard spot". They will either have to arrange for a new easement or put the old one back in the middle of the pit. I am heading down there right now to see if they have locked the gate for the wee-end. If the gate is locked, I will call the sheriff office and file a complaint that my public access has been taken away from this site. This will then become part of the legal record. It will be interesting to see what trick the Wallaces will try next. Fishing was great, but catching wasn't! Most of the smolts have moved down so it won't be long before we catch summer runs. With the low water now this spot looks like one of the best places in the lower Cowlitz to fish from the bank. 200 yard plus of some great bobber and jig or free drifting water now just waiting to be used.
