I just picked up an eon e5600 last thursday and recently pu some 10lb maxima ultra green mono on it and took her out for some test casts. Fist of all I thought it would be smoother when retrieving line {for having 7 stainless bearings in it} it sounds a little clunky. Im used to my curado which has a very smooth feel to it. As far a the planetary gears and cranking power I dint feel that much of a difference from the curado. I casted 1 ounce and .5 ounces of lead. I can say after I got the spool brake and the centrifugal brake dialed in this baby can really wing the lead out there. it seems like it can outcast the curado with the same weight on. For under a 100 bones I dont think this is a bad reel. Once it is put through the real test hooking a chrome scrappy mean lean fighting steelhead machine
then I will really know how this reel stacks up to the competition.
Anybody using the new aluminum framed curado?
And if so how do you like it?
Thanks
Mark
