Rain Drop, please pardon my doubt. It's just that we get a few young 'trolls' on here now and then that play name games. ...

So, where were we? ... Oh ya, we were discussing when would be a good time for me to meet your dog and take you fishing to show you the ropes. Ah, wait, only 'Yall uses ropes. But I would be glad to teach you how to fish for these great NW salmon and steelhead sometime. And would you show me how to bone fish? We believe we have the best fishing in the world in the NW quadrant of this continent, and you are in one of the better places on the outer OP. I love to flyfish for steelhead. Since most of the OP rivers are glacial melt fed you will likely do better with conventional tackle until the rivers warm up and clear some more. It's still worth trying though. For now, I suggest using a sinktip flyline and bright attractor wetfly steelhead patterns, fished first in a natural drift presentation and then, after properly mending your line, let the fly swing across holding water. Local tackle shops are a good place to find what works best for the rivers you will fish. Good luck and let us know how you are progressing. Take care. - Steve
