Hey Parker, its all good, we must go in there as a posse or you will have a hard time keeping a spot. Yes you are allowed to fillet your fish so it is less to walk out with, besides the carcass is better in the water than up in the weeds or in a dumpster.
I would love to float fish it in that spot, but there are to many J-o's driftfishing/ foul hooking fish in there. I just held it until a fish was swimming off with it then set the hook, that way there were no foul hooked fish for me. But most of the guys were breaking off the fouled ones.
