I must say if it was my land I would have locked it up tight a long time ago. I grew up in Enumclaw and they locked that up a long time ago. The final straw was when some kids did $20,000 damage to some logging equipment one night.
I talked to the guy that used to run the Plum Creek land from the Enumclaw office one time about June or so. They had jeep clubs volunteering to pick up garbage and it had cost them $500,000 at that point of the year just to dispose of it.
Can't say as I blame them one bit.
Weyerhauser up here has a yearly permit you can buy. They have a guard posted at a couple of main access points on the mainline who logs people in and out. Everybody gripes about it, but it beats the heck out of the couple years where it was just plain locked down.
