I've used both 1-800-BETTER1 and cheaptickets.com. Both can be good, yet painful. For example, I used 1-800-BETTER1 for my most recent trip to AK. I was booked on a 6:00 am United flight on the way home. I made the painful mistake of *NOT* calling up United and confirming my flight that week. Needless to say, I was surprised to find out that the 6:00 am flight never ever existed and it's always been a Midnight flight. Man, talk about getting screwed over.

Yeah, you might get some cheap tickets, but ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS call up the airline the week you travel to confirm your flights.

All I can say is: Dork. Dork. Dork.

Oh, and if I have a choice, I always try to fly Alaskan Airways. United sucks. Continental is Good, but sometimes expensive.
