I think this topic has more to do with human psychology than anything else. Sure, contrasting color schemes, and matching colors to water and light conditions, can improve success. In my opinion, confidence with WHATEVER method, or lure color you're using, will ultimately result in more fish caught. I believe that when it's all said and done, it's YOUR eyes that the tackle manufacturers are trying to appeal to.
