Silvers can be moody about what they want from day to day, just like Kings. I assume you are talking about scenting lures for river fishing (don't need to for bait for saltater herring, or with good cured eggs in freshwater). They almost always like good egg scents. Pro Cure has a new bottled liquid salmon egg scent now. And Catcher Co.'s "Smelly Jelly" now has a newer "Salmon Scent with real Roe" in pink colored 'sticky liquid'. They are good. A combo of herring and squid baitoil by Pro Cure or Mike's is usually better than sardine on silvers. Use it sparingly on the swivels, snaps, and hooks of spinners and plugs; instead of right on the finish where it can dampen the flash. Good luck.
