All week I have been wondering what I could do to help. I gave blood at work, but still felt pretty insignificant. Yesterday I hit upon an idea. I stopped by the craft store and got a roll of red, white & blue ribbon. I went home and had the kids cut them into 6" pieces and wrap them around into the shape people wear on their lapels with a small pin. Then we went around the neighborhood asking for donations for them. All the money we collect will be donated to the Red Cross. The kids got a super great feeling from this..something they will remember for the rest of their life and know that in times like this every American has to do their part.
